Moose, I've egged his car , let his tyres down and hidden some rotten fish in the radiators of his new rental home . A few threatening 3am calls , should top that off nicely . He will know who he's playing for soon enough and how we do things in this part if the world .
I don't wana sound negative but has anyone on here seen the fella play? I haven't but WD sports saying he is great as he played in a quarter final of the European cup doesn't mean much.. Loads of crap players have winning medals, David May wasn't a great CB for instance but his trophy cabinet is quite impressive including a European cup winning medal. You tube looks good with this chap but then Lewis Mcguigan looks world class on his youtube goals.. For those who have seen him play, is he better than Capoue? I like Behrami myself, I think he should start every game.
Maybe someone should start off a thread to debate whether Jurado is good or not , because it maybe me but it seems he divided opinion
Good idea. Sounds like the sort of topic where everyone's opinion will be respected and there will be no referencing of players who have now left the club.
Just the small matter of the contract I guess? Anyway I didn't think you were bothered if we got this guy??
I'm mostly excited for his pedigree but he's not all that tbh. Upgrade on Ben Watson but he won't set the world on fire. Hes a ball winner, not your Xavi type. He can pass a bit though. Like a Spanish Jon jo Shelvey really.
The way I see it, you don't regularly play centre midfield in that disciplined and successful Simeone side without having a little something about you.
Isn't there a sense that this is just a normal transfer and what is out of kilter is the sheer length and volume of tittle tattle combined with the empty chasm of ennui that said tittle tattle fills? But make sure you tell me if it 'edges' any closer. Thanks.
Personally I thought Jurado was very impressive in a more central role tool the p**s out of the Geordies at times. Not Seen Suarez play but he has been capped for Spain and any midfielder who can break into their squad has to have some quality about them. Beats the days of O'Toole in the holding role.
John Joe O'Toole didn't play holding mid, he was an attacking mid. Im surprised he hasn't made more of his career as he had a fair amount of talent, when he went to Sheff Utd on loan I was a bit disappointed.
Anyone else remember the days when we didn't need minute by minute updates on transfer and just waited for it to be posted onto Ceefax? I do and I'm reasonably young!
He actually signed on Tuesday. I'm just waiting for the page to refresh and then scroll through 22 other pages of transfer news and then the confirmation will be up.
I thought personal terms etc. had already been agreed, so what's the hold up now? All I can say is he had better be good after all this parafenalia, it really has been soooooooooooooo drawn out, and what makes it worse is that as you all know I'm not particually (spelling?) keen on him either, but hopefully he will pleasently surprise me!
My source tells me that contracts were signed yesterday lunchtime but they thought it would be a bit of a laugh to tease the fans.
Happy Suarez Day to you, Happy Suarez Day to you, Happy Suarez Day dear Watford, Happy Suarez Day to you
It hasn't been drawn out at all, this will be what usually happens. Just that this time we've had virtually minute by minute coverage of it all.
