If Sunderland play like that again, I can see Luton winning. Don't see it v Sheffield United though.

No they won't. Nailed on 3 points at our place will help them.

They have more than enough games left to get out of it. But yes of course I would love them to drop down and have a double relegation. Their next three games are not simple, more less identical fixtures to us just home or away is different. If we play anything close to yesterday in the derby I can see us winning that one as well. Hopefully we can pick up something from our next two games to keep the belief.

Why do you think they are nailed on to win ?

Absolutely - they haven't had the new manager bounce. Alfie Doughty has come out and said there is "no chance they will be relegated". Complacency when you're doing absolutely **** is how Sunderland achieved consecutive relegations.

Because of what happened at their place. Their players wanted to beat us so badly, for our cowards it's was and always will be just another game.

    I was there , I witnessed the shambles .

But it’s just one game , I can’t see the logic in thinking that we are guaranteed to lose the next one because if one bad performance . If Luton were so dangerous they wouldn’t be in the relegation zone .

Find it bizarre the plague of almost hysterical negativity on here sometimes .

You call it negativity I call it reality. You completely ignored the fact that the scum can get themselves up for a local derby and we cannot.
    Why?
    Because our players are c***s.

No it’s fun while it lasts but they won’t go down. Hope they don't save themselves on the last day with a Pleat vs Citeh celebration.

Its 50/50 I would say. They have lost more than half their games, they have the 2nd worst goal difference in the league and have only taken 2 points from the last 18 on offer - only Derby have worse form. They have some tough games coming up but also have to play the teams around them so its still in their hands unfortunately. The teams above them are showing some fight and the 16 games of the season left will start disappearing quickly.

    100% doomed.

Going down in last place, then another relegation next season.

I can see them struggling along in the 4th for a couple of seasons, the cancellation of the stadium of scum, but then the inevitable relegation back into the non-leagues.

I would predict them being wound up and disbanded somewhere around 2035, after a 0-4 home defeat to Gresley Miners Welfare in a crucial United Counties League relegation decider.

There would be maybe a little paragraph buried somewhere in one or two of the papers.with headlines like "The Club That Died of Shame".

What happens to their parashoot payments if they go down again? Do they still get them as usual?

  18. Otter

Yes, but having only been in the top level for a single season they only get parachute payments for 2 seasons.

  19. UEA_Hornet

Yes, plus the parachute payment from Championship to League 1.

Whilst this isn't an exact science that mob in Beds have a tricky looking run in and the goal difference table has them in the correct position. Fingers crossed !

It turns out 30 of the 72 league clubs have played in the Premier League at some time.

We’re awful, and only 3 points off the play off places. This league has no quality, and it would take something magical for them not to survive.

Was that the one where their squad had a sickness bug? The point I'm trying, (and failing), to make with a few of you on this thread is that our current squad doesn't have the bo**ocks to get themselves up for a local derby, whereas scums squad does. I genuinely hope I'm wrong but I'm not.

They will comfortably stay up, unfortunately. They made better signings in the window than we did, albeit its not that difficult.
