[SOLD] Luis Suarez

The season hasn't finished yet - Suarez is on a notably higher goals per game than Cucho was.

I've said many times that I think Suarez has a higher ceiling than Cucho, who is too limited a player imo.

 

If the Pozzo's sell him without even giving us a chance to see what he can do I will officially give up.

 

I suspect we will do with Suarez what we did with Lukebakio. Sell him and put the money towards a better player.

 

This story just proves what we already know. Clearly not good enough. That's why 2nd place in the Mickey Mouse Serie A club Latseeo want him. Never heard of them.

 

Agreed. Sell now. As long as we can keep hold of the real talent in Penaranda (just like a new signing) and Success we should just get what cash we can for the rest.

I mean to start with if that article is even remotely correct then Lazio are guilty of tapping up

 

Not seen either apart from some highlights. But I will bow to your superior knowledge on Liga 2. What do you think exactly that makes him the player of higher calibre? Tbh it's looking like it could pass the fee paid for Lukebakio who in all fairness had quite a season in the Bundesliga.

 

He's generally quicker and sharper than Cucho and has a much cleaner striking technique. He is also excellent at finishing with both feet, whereas Cucho is very one footed. These all mean that he should be and continue to be more of a consistent goal threat than Cucho, regardless of the level.

 

That's a fair enough assessment. Any player comfortable with either foot is a major plus point. My only concern is he's not played any top flight games. Hopefully he comes here or gets loaned out again in a top league.

Not sure how reliable. It's not him potentially leaving that's the problem (we have Cucho too to come back as well as Deeney), but I'd have hoped to get more than that for him. I know times are tough, but surely we'd still be looking at £20 odd mil?

Christ, I hope not! Gray has to go and Deeney shouldn't have a regular starting place! Cucho highly likely to be with us in the Summer, and we surely have to sign someone else to play up top!

Scored a nice goal tonight for Zaragoza, his 18th of the season in La Liga 2.

Will be really disappointed if Watford sell him without giving him a chance, assuming we stay up. We've needed different options at striker for some time. He seems pretty quick, runs at the goal, can be a bit physical and does good work to win the ball back. Seems like that's just what we need.

 

We signed a lot of young players 3 or 4 seasons ago, in the hope some would come good. Cucho, Suarez and Estupiñan are those three. It would be nice to think we'd actually get some benefit from these players. Cucho probably has not hit the heights of the other two and I believe we'll most likely have him next season no matter which league we are operating in. The other two are wanted by top European clubs, so it will be tough to keep them, even if we stay up.

You can only hope that they stay and be part of next season's squad, or that we sell for a very healthy profit. What I don't want to see is that we nurture these young players, but once they become decent we get mugged off like we did with Sancho.

Cucho was doing very well until injury - for a crap team. There's a good chance that he now surges ahead once again.
