He was the Spain women's manager and he kissed a woman player after a big victory. She says she didn't like it. Now they want to give him 2.5 years behind bars for the offence. Yes he shouldn't have done it. Should have had more sense. But prison is too much. Way too much. Sack him out of his job if you like. Give him a fine. Ban him from women's football would be a punishment fitting the 'crime'. But prison? For a kiss?
If that's what he does in front of millions of people, imagine what he does in private? Life from this judge and jury.
That's a tad to far imho. I've kissed total strangers at football matches in celebration of a big win sometimes. Male and female. I think perhaps it might come down to the circumstance as well. Was the kiss in part of jubilation to being happy they won? Or was it done after the fact when perhaps asking first would of been more appropriate, after the inital adreneline had faded? Even it was the latter, and she felt he should of asked permission - going to prison purely based on that is too harsh. All I can think of is he may of had prior expereince in this action? Perhaps this one was a step too far? Too much to take into consideration without knowing all the facts.
To give some colour to my response to @SkylaRose, a kiss on the cheek probably would’ve been fine. A forceful kiss on the lips is not. Apologies for the brief nature of my previous response, am commuting, it’s been a long day. I’m sorry, but it feels very yucky and weird to me. I certainly wouldn’t want someone to randomly put a smacker on my lips after I’d achieved a milestone at work. Prison is too far but he shouldn’t be allowed to slip off with no reprimand.
It was straight after the team had won the world cup. You can imagine he'd be pretty happy. Here is the 'sexual assault'
No cheek. Hmm. So the hug was accepted then he went in for the kiss on the lips. I can see why that would of upset her as it was unexpected. Still, slap him across the face afterwards or say something along the lines of "I did not ask for a kiss, the hug was enough." I still think a stern warning would of been enough from the Spanish FA but again it may go deeper than what we see here. a prison sentence is OTT unless as I stated before, he had some hidden unexposed previous to this.
It was an odd thing to do but I'm not sure it constitutes what most people think of as a sexual assault. It certainly doesn't seem the sort of thing someone should be locked up for 2 years for. In the strange times we're living in I consider myself very lucky that Mrs Lloyd had me neutered a few years ago.
She's a Spanish international footballer. She didn't play in the world cup where the kiss happened because she's boycotted the team since, I think thr euros. In this pic, she grabbed the opposition player by her privates and said something which lipreaders have said was 'have you got a penis' in Spanish. I'd say that if people are calling for 2.5 years for a kiss, then this should attract exponentially harsher punishment.
¡¡Dios mío!! I think lips have since been sealed on this story. Hence why I have heard only twisted rumours of scandalous happenings. This will be a slight handful when it all comes out.
2 and a half years???! Paedophiles get less than that! Touching children? Slap on the wrist. Unconsented kiss on the lips of a woman? 2.5 years in prison. Make it make sense
No comments on the pitiful fine given to the bloke from the ‘I see woke people’ crowd I see. Rage bait at its finest.
