Our young keeper Baptiste is doing well out on loan, could he be good enough to make the step up to the 1st team squad?
H He's playing for Farnborough! There is a smidge of a difference between that level and first team squad for a Premier League team
Played last weekend against Sheffield Wednesday too, Gillingham have a real injury crisis and had to bring him back earlier than they would have liked, but he got through it OK and played well by all accounts last week
I was thinking the same about calling him back to our squad as he seems to be doing well at Reading. Is there a call back clause in his loan deal?
Seems like he's been played out wide by Reading. If the situation with Sarr is as bad as we all expect it to be, and with Dennis likely to be called up by Nigeria we're going to need him
He's not the flying winger type we'd need though, we're more likely to get a loan if Sarr is done for the season. Or better still Sema will be fit soon so he can replace Sarr . There's also a very slight chance that TDB makes the Nigeria squad if he keeps performing well and they get an injury or two between now and January.
Tiago Cukur getting rinsed by Donny fans, saying he's just not ready for senior football. He's only just turned 19 but it's just another example of how big the step up really is. Jakubiak, Folivi, Mensah, Cassidy, Cukur all scored goals for fun at youth level, can't see any having an impact beyond League 1 level.
It's a shame as he seems to be one of the few U23 players we have that look physically capable of playing senior football. Maybe he needs recalling in January and given a go at a lower level like Lo-Everton.
And some on here wanted to give him a chance in our first team in the PL this season . That being said he's still young and whilst he hasn't had a big impact at Donny, hopefully it's been a good learning experience for him. Bring him back in the summer (or if they terminate the loan in Jan) and get him a loan in the National League where he'll hopefully fare better and gain some confidence again.
Difficult circumstances for the lad. Donny in a massive relegation battle and I can't imagine he's been missing sitters again and again. More likely he's been asked to thanklessly lead the line which is an experienced players job. Still depending on the lads mentality it's potentially a fantastic learning experience for him. Dutch youth football to League 1 in under a year is a big ask though
Who's Will Hall? I've seen he's on loan at Kings Langley and is only 17. Pictures of him make him look about 6ft8
Yeah, he's played 931 mins or the equivalent of 10 full games, he's taken 15 shots giving 2.11 xG with 1 goal to show for it. Donny have only scored 12 goals in 20 games though so think they're lacking some creativity to feed the strikers.
Zinckernagel wants to stay at Forest for the whole season . Sure we will oblige. https://www.nottinghampost.com/spor...forest-transfers-zinckernagel-watford-6330442
