All 9 Championship sides who played against League One or League Two teams lost this evening.

 

Millwall lost to Cambridge United last week as well so that is 10 out to lower league sides

Yes, people should just keep their mouths shut and not criticise the team if they lose to a League One or Two team.

Can someone explain how the structure of this works?

 

I was thinking the same. Is it like with the Club's that play in Europe joining a round later. We are the equivalent of a Champions League team at this level.

 

I dread the day we don't qualify for this prestigious tournament

All good until we lose to Man City's under 14s

 

Teams playing in Europe join in round 3.
Remaining Premier League teams (+ some Championship teams, in this case us and Burnley) join in round 2.
Everyone else starts in round 1.
First 2 rounds are split in to northern/southern groups to reduce distances travelled. The divide is only decided after all the teams competing in the round have been decided.

 

I assume there’s no seeding either, since we played Palace at this stage last year.

 

I wanted Luton, but just checked and found they are not in it this year.

I know I’m in the minority here but I really enjoy the League Cup. I just wish we put out a stronger team. Forest Green, Crawley or Newport away please for a new ground.

 

I would like to get knocked out by Accrington Stanly at some point.

 

Maybe we could work our way through the leagues? Like a sort of specialist '92 club'.
