Anyone know when they go on sale?.......................and what the qualification criteria might be to get one?

about 1,500 available which I think is more than our A+ group.

Don't think it's that many. I thought about 1000. A+ used to be around 800 people. I would think they would go on sale first or second week of March

Did you specify the kind before? I’m worried I may have mistaken and for us two tickets to the Luton library theatre. Figured a sit in or dirty protest would see us fit in with the locals.

Fantastic ! Got a Luton ticket !! Luton vs Preston on Feb 28th. Buzzin'.

  14. You can't get a direct train to luton from Watford anyway can you?! 321 bus was you're best bet back in my day

Annoyingly where I live there is a direct train to luton but not one to Watford. I have to go either via Birmingham or St pancras to get to the Vic.

Details out from the club. £30 a ticket. A+ category set up for this game - requires 60+ away games since 2012/13. Oh and mandatory £15 coach travel from Vicarage Road, no tickets sent out in advance, photo ID to collect at 9am on the day etc. What a joke - weren't scum fans able to come and go as they pleased when they came to our place?

It's an absolute joke. Can't believe Watford have made this decision or agreed to it.

Meanwhile at the Vic we all had to change our routes so the scummers could swan around wherever they wanted.

Am pretty sure their club/ supporters trust said they would not accept coach travel hence the heavy police presence.

Added factor now is planned train strike that day so we would be scattered all over trying to park and be policed. On the basis away fans can only number 1,000 it makes it so unlike the old days-and by that I mean 1970's/80's. Boxing day 1982-21,000-see photo below (lifted from their outlaws site). By 1988 the gate was 10,000!

I presume someone thinks our fans are more likely to cause trouble than their fans so put police bubble conditions on?

Wouldn't want to rely on the Hive to watch it as they say in the article.

Even by the usual standards of the club this is hilarious

Charging people for the coach journey is the cherry on top

  26. Harrow Orn

Is this a decision by the club or by police?

Either way if fans are forced to travel by coach then they should not be charged for it. Ridiculous decision by the club as the charging part is obviously their choice.

Yes that does very extreme - particularly £15.

Clubs have had bubble systems as the police call it but that is usually for derbies like West Ham v Millwall or Swansea v Cardiff.

Not for 1k Watford fans going to Luton.

And of course people will rightly point out Luton fans didn't have to do this when there was more of them.

I’m category A+ and I won’t be going. £45 plus another £45 in petrol from Suffolk. This bunch certainly know how to piss fans off.
This match needs to be boycotted by all.

I am not sure if it's them asking for fans to travel by coach - sometimes that is a police request but yes should be cheaper than £15 to get the coach.

  31. UEA_Hornet

Then the club should publicly say it’s a police decision, they strongly objected but their protests fell on deaf ears etc. But of course we all know why they can’t do that.

Stupid opinion but i guess this is to stop our fans getting attacked by knuckle draggers if they drove , park up nearby and walked the last bit to the ground?

Got to love the logic - one fanbase of notorious knuckle draggers, long history of violence at football - allow them a free rein to travel however they wish to the game and have some drinks in enemy territory.

Other fanbase, want to just go and watch the game and let's be honest, soft as anything - make them provide ID to pick up a ticket, driven straight to and from the ground and charged £15 for the privilege.

    Nothing like rewarding ar$ehole behaviour.
