Not good news. Either we’ve rushed him back, or very unfortunately for him (and us) he’s a crock. He does seem to spend a lot of time injured or unable to play full 90s. Perhaps another player with a frail modern day mindset.
In fairness to him, he is very direct so his style of play is probably very hard on the body, maybe we did rush him back, but he managed to get through Plymouth unscathed so it seemed logical to crank up the playing time a bit
Injury prone crock. A real shame as he’s such a fun player to watch. It could even cost him a big move, a club won’t want to spend big money on someone with such a poor injury record.
Trouble is has he not started there would have been outrage but then guess Cleverley has to try and ignore that ? To do the very same thing seems to be a concern though and does suggest he wasn’t fully recovered ?
Our season would probably have still been alive if he had been fit. Hopefully our medical team take proper care of him this time and dont allow him to be rushed back.
Didn't he complain of muscle tightness after playing for 20 minutes or so at the start of the season? His injury record will hold his career back. Shame as he is great to watch.
I think it was Cleverley saying he saw Baah and Ebosele as impact players only, with a vision of bringing them on against tired legs in the last half hour of matches, trying to justify why he wasn't picking Baah in particular from the start. Which of course he eventually had to do anyway. I don't think Baah moaned. But yes, he's going to have to learn how to manage his own load so he can stay fit or he'll be done at this level.
Baah is very direct, he gets the ball, he sprints, I wonder if that’s why he gets injured so regularly, and if he’ll have to rein that in a little bit in order to keep fit? Hope not as he's electric!
