May not be in my top-10 of all time but Chas 'n' Dave at the Horns some 15 years ago was huge fun.

    I also over indulged

It was a bloody nightmare. 4 quid a ride in the fairground bit, dog walkers, pushchairs and cyclists mingling to make it impossible for me to walk anywhere, stalls selling overpriced 'craft' tat.

I parked in M&S and walked in

    Absolutely yes!
I saw Airbourne in Frome a couple of weeks ago, then Ugly Kid Joe in Southampton last week. You can’t beat the atmosphere of a live gig!

What a fantastic day (away from the screaming of a mad man called Fat White Family). Liam was great, on par with 96 but Kasabian were my surprise package. They were electric even without Tom

as for getting home it took an hour to get out of there on foot. Reckon would be another two hours if in a car. But what a day!

I've only seen Liam Gallagher live once at Bergen Fest but he was outdone by Richard Ashcroft, he was absolutely fantastic.

I was at that one too. To this day, I don’t remember how I got home. I remember a friend and I getting separated from our group and being stranded but have no recollection of how we got back. I agree about the gig - the sound was awful too. At least I remember that - the aforementioned friend has no memory of the gig either. We may have been a bit worse for wear.
Saw Oasis at the Albert Hall as well - that was vastly superior to their Knebworth gig.
Have zero interest in seeing Liam Gallagher as a solo artist.

Was also at Knebworth back then and although the day itself was great ( 20 of us from Amersham) the actual gig was poor plus The Prodigy played and I hate The Prodigy. Saw Oasis at Wembley Arena and they were excellent. The only outdoor concert I've ever really liked was Madness at Finsbury Park but it's much smaller

A screaming mad man in his pants no less. I actually liked one song of theirs though, called I believe in something better.

Interestingly it turns out the lead singer also had something to say about Kasabian some years back:

    (it’s towards the end)

Apparently he wanted a punky vibe from the less established acts that were booked, if you’ve not heard of them Amyl and the Sniffers who played on Friday are really good.

On the flip side, I hate Madness and love the Prodigy.

Never really enjoyed going to live concerts so I'm quite envious of those who do. I struggle to hear and understand speech around loud background/foreground noise (over and above the usual issues) so loud/busy environments are mentally exhausting for me. Even busy bars/pubs are too much for me. I've always preferred the quieter venues.

I live near Blenheim, their events once upon a time were a bit chaotic, but they've sorted out the logistics of getting everyone in and out quite well these days and run all sorts of stuff from concerts to jousting to light shows. Expect to be turfed out into the other side of the estate when its finished as the one way system sends people off on their merry way.

I have to say they were absolutely brilliant. Parked in the train station 10 mins walk away to avoid the notorious issues in getting out of the official car parks post gig.

Love airborne! Back in the Game is my absolute favourite workout track.
