Supposedly he's back next week. Though he was also supposedly meant to be back at the start of December.
We signed some right duds in the summer as always. Jebbison, Ogbonna, Keben, Sissoko. That Brazilian who gets torched by U21 forwards and the Tivtic horror loan. Fullbacks and Vata decent additions I suppose.
Wierd omitted from u21s game today even though Tom had said would feature. Either a set back or straight into squad for Preston.
Basically not ready yet to play ( not fit enough?) https://x.com/androofrench/status/1881390475581837535
As I said at the time, he failed a medical. TC didn't want him as a result but the club insisted on a second opinion... And that second opinion said he would be out for 'weeks, not months*' *as the initial medical said he would be. Seems like we forced through the second opinion against what TC wanted and look what has happened. I have a lot of sympathy for TC having to continually come out and front up against decisions he didn't make. Is there any wonder he keeps referring to players who aren't/weren't ready!
And which fool gave the second opinion and what is their accountability? Or will Pozzo just use them again as they fit the yes men inner circle? One of the things that enrages me most about the club is that there is never any accountability EVER for Pozzo’s inner circle. However, different story if you are a manager trying to juggle all the duds forced upon you by the owner.
Dr. M. Bayat. Came highly recommended apparently after his work in the Kalu deal, where despite all evidence to the contrary, it was confirmed he was in his prime.
Sounds like he can't play without his knee swelling up. I bet Pozzo can't believe his luck. You sign a guy with an existing injury, ignore the medical he failed and then he's unavailable for over half the season. What are the chances??
What the club forgot to tell anyone is that Keben actually changed names to James Abankwah in December. He was then sold to Udinese and loaned back to Watford with an obligation to buy in 2028. They didn’t tell anyone, but Nani would like to point out that they should have!
I've had the same injury which swelled up my knee every time. The good news is that my knee recovered stronger, just took a lot of patience.
That'll cause an injury to his other knee as they'll be imbalanced. Should be fixed by the time his contract is up.
