Why do you need to be so pedantic about things ? Was Tivic a regular there ..? So both clubs are losing money and lacking players but going to buy/borrow someone who won’t play ..
Tikvic wasn't a regular there, and Kayky won't be a regular there either. They're both currently backup players with potential to improve and become first-team regulars. It's not that odd.
If Kayky needs a year in Europe to gain a work permit I don't see how a loan to Udinese is controversial. There's an argument we should be spending the budget on players who help us now but the loan there (helping them out rather than us etc) is a red herring.
Oh yes no problem if we have to send him out on loan because he cannot get a WP. As you say could the money be used elsewhere though .
Great for the future .. Not so much this season which ought to be the main concern for many . If we had reliable defenders at the club now wouldn’t be an issue but we don’t in my view . Porteous rash Pollock too slow Sierralta too much of a liability
Got to think about the future and the now. I very much doubt that £800k will mean missing out on signing a Hoedt replacement today if it's deemed we need one. We do, but it will be unconnected poor deceison making if we decide we don't.....
Fabrizio Romano saying this is done, will probably be loaned out to a team in Belgium. https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1818336901494870099?t=LfuZCkpW86Mkd634h9B8uw&s=19
Give Mogi a break! That's going to be one hell of a tough negotiation. If he gets it across the line he'll have earned his cut.
https://x.com/WatfordFC/status/1821554811092803758?t=8do5OTwaCozu1Beu7pmMAA&s=19 Official! And has a work permit!
He posted an Instagram story an hour ago saying we need more signings (somebody kindly posted a screenshot of it on the Transfer Talk and Suggestions page here)
Well done! See me later to collect your prize! Seriously though, thanks. I hadn’t realised Doumbia would count as a summer signing.
He looks the same age as me. I am not 19. All those free radicals play absolute havoc with these footballers, man.
Which makes the loan signing of Tikvic even more weird... We've now signed TWO young left footed center backs without first team experience. The U21s are going to be hard to score against with Almeida, Tikvic, Clarridge, Abbott and Coyne at the back
Here's what TC said in the interview to BBC3C: "With the system that we're playing at the minute, with the three center halves, you obviously need... five experienced ones. So we're probably one short there." ...which means that he doesn't see Tikvic as a senior player and it would seem unlikely that this 19-year-old from Brazil with a grand total of 1 minute of senior football to his belt would be classified as experienced as well. So the short answer would seem to be no, and the expectation is that we're trying to sign Liam Cooper on a free transfer as that experienced center back.
Do we really need 5 experienced CBs? Isn’t there merit in having a better quality cb with limited experience vs a mediocre cb with experience? Especially if you have 4 experienced other cbs, so if he plays it’s likely to be with 2 other experienced cbs he can learn from. Shouldn’t it partly depend on how good the player is or even what his potential is? (Not directed at you Hartvix as appreciated that your informing s what TC said)
