Might be worth sending Gino an email to let him know that Kaboul isn't homegrown. Might be a game changer for this deal.
Prodl my guess, Cathcart slots well on the right of the 3 and Britos the left. I can see Kaboul in the middle
I think Cathcart after yesterday. But I'll feel a bit sorry for him if he is dropped. I won't be that upset if kaboul is on the bench for a while though, our centre backs have been solid.
I thought Cathcart did really well. Given the job of marking Hazard a lot of the game and I'm pretty sure he only beat him once.
It's hard to choose one for the chop out of Cathcart, Britos and Prodl, but it would be the latter for me my a squeek. Looking forward to seeing our record defensive signing Kabasele some time soon too!
I predict Kabasele will get ruined by Gillingham and play the rest of 2016 in the under 23s before being loaned out.
Key thing is they will all get a decent number of games due to injuries, suspensions etc. Last year we played 2 CDs and all 3 got decent no of games.
I agree. We now have four senior centre backs, all at a similar level and will play three of them virtually every match, so they will all get plenty of game time. We also have Nyom (currently), Kabasele and Hoban as back up to the four, although I expect Nyom will be loaned out when it comes to making the cut.
Really they're all too good to be dropped, but if Wally is looking to bring Kaboul straight in (I reckon he will) one's gotta go. Wally likes Britos so bar injuries it'll be one of Cathcart or Prodl. GT know which.
Prodl will be dropped of the three, although he's started the season well. Britos would be my first pick on the team sheet at the back. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
That's interesting, as I think Prodl has been the most solid out of the 3 so far. He may still be sacrificed however, Kaboul comes in, and the defence shows no improvement.
