Yes, because Gino has consistently demonstrated he puts the PL cash above everything else.

Also he’s worth £100m to us because he could be be the difference between promotion or not makes no sense does it? Is he or isn’t he?

I'm assuming that adjective derives from that pile o'shyte I watched last night starring the totally non-gay actor Tom Cruise? FFS my son with learning disabilities even described the plot as "...insulting...".

If we sell either of him or Sarr now, at this point in the window, for anything less than double what they're worth, we really are the biggest idiots in football.

We don't look good enough for top two with them. Take them out and we're looking at mid-table at best.

I hope you’re not taking about Top Gun 2 as I had a semi watching that it was so good. Since Saturday I’ve been trying to grow a tache like Rooster.

Agree. I was expecting to hate it but if you accept the plot is pretty predictable/unbelievable I thought it was great action and great fun.

Gordon seems to be staying at Everton, and they've also today been linked with Chukwueze of Villarreal and Kudus of Ajax.
That should hopefully rule them out with JP and Sarr?!

Isak scoring for Newcastle might strengthen the case for them not returning for Joao Pedro you’d hope.

Doubt it would make that much difference, although they definitely didn't seem like they were keen to overspend

I can see the Newcastle Chronicle headline tomorrow:

'Isak's Success Persuades Parking of Parsimonious Pedro Proposal, Perhaps, Pet?'

I watched it on Saturday night too. My sister in law has turned their shed into a "pub" (it's got a counter of sorts and a couple of pictures). They have a large screen in there and I ended up sat in the garden watching it through the door as I couldn't fit in as the kids took over.

Easily the best film I've watched through a shed door.

Everton submitted a formal bid on Wednesday for João Pedro: £25m plus £5m add-ons. Watford have rejected and have no intention to let him go.

Yeah, weird that Everton were bidding for a player whose move to Newcastle was already finalised

    Great news for us.

Can’t help but think if he never signed for us he’d already be playing for Brazil. Unless these seasons in the Champo are genuinely helping him mature which I suppose is possible.

I wonder if we sometimes under-estimate the value of our position on the northern outskirts of London, a true "World City" in which every nationality will have a community.

If you are already earning way beyond your expectations, how much extra would you need to persuade you to base yourself in, for example, the North East?

Or maybe money can buy you an exotic lifestyle in any location?

  35. Quite right. There is a Brazilian restaurant in Apsley, for heaven's sake. There is a big Brazilian community in Camden (I did a gig at a Brazilian café in Chalk Farm a couple of years ago). London is where it's at. The provinces are so, well, provincial.
