Feel like this one isn't quite so clean cut. He's certainly proving he has a role to play but I don't think he's made anyone look silly as he's no longer being picked in the position he was really struggling in (left full back). He didn't have the pace to get up and down the pitch in that role but now he's left CB and has cover on the outside of him he looks more comfortable.
I wonder what the reaction was when he was first selected in the LCB position. Did anybody think it might work. I would suggest nobody and the reaction was negative
I think the universal reaction was both "WTF" and that TC was trying to make a point that he literally had no other options. Maybe he was, and is as surprised as us at the success of his masterstroke !!
I’m going to stick my neck out and predict that by December everyone will agree again that he is dung. Similar to that time Kalu made everyone eat their words after a couple of bright sub appearances.
I very much suspect he will back on the bench by then but hopefully because of Ogbonna and not his form
