I'd have him but wouldn't pay any more than 150k a week in wages .

If you're prepared to pay that bit I'm sure the club can make up the rest.

Too expensive for us. And we hardly have a track record of signing home grown first team players of that age. Cleverley fulfilled that role for this decade.

Tony Gale says he's the best so he's the best. Try again sweetheart.

I would love to take him, but not on that sort of wage.

You might get 25 games out of him a season but thats about all.

He's the only player in the Premier League capable of crossing the ball into the penalty area IIRC

It seems that Wilshere was also a Norwich fan as well as Luton.

Regardless of whether he's good enough/better than Capoue/supports L*ton etc...if the rumours were true at the start of the season about us wanting him on loan - he didn't choose us then and we've gone backwards in style of play since then, so he wouldn't choose us now. Plus, the queue for his signature will be very, very long and WFC will be at the very back of it.

    GoingDown "The Stability"

Considering he's now at Bournemouth and being linked with us, that queue is getting rightfully shorter. Only so long a player can get by on name recognition only.

If Bournemouth won't sign him , means he is at least as sh1t as Iturbe .

He is potentially a great player , but realistically it doesn't seem like he is going to fulfill even half of that potential.

Better than Capoue ? Yes but who isn't .

He gets injured so much because his tackling technique is so poor. And rash. He's expensive and has a terrible attitude and seemingly not a very lovely person.

Big NO from me but surely the famed Dowling and Pozzo network can find better talent on cheaper wages?

We couldn't afford to pay for his fags!

Injured again. But more than that, the media have turned on him, most notably Shearer on MOTD. Saying he's been poor at Bournemouth, wont go back to Arsenal, won't stay at Bournemouth, 22 games - 2 assists, that he's finished etc.

    At ****ing last.

Guys on five live doing the game at the time were talking in a similar vein, quite unimpressed, what a shame. It is genuinely odd that having finally had a season not completely disrupted by injury, he hasn't managed to be productive at all. Guess his mentality and confidence are permanently gone.

Were they ever there? ****ing guy has 14 assists in his entire career. He's always been ****. But he got a pass because he's English and at Arsenal. He was even described, earlier this season, as the best English midfielder in the Premier League.

Now, out of nowhere, the media have seemingly had enough of the ****. Yet I'm sure there's a few that would still laughably describe him as 'better than what we've got'.

Shocking stats. Surely him struggling to get in the starting 11 at Bournemouth is enough for clubs to stay well clear.

Judging by our recent signings he should be a shoo in :p

He's absolutely useless. It's depressing how people have spent years thinking he's anything more than that simply because they believe anything the media tell them.

The only way we should show any interest is if he is free and on wages a lot less than his 80k pw reported!

TBF he was very good for 1 season at Arsenal.
    But too injury prone.

Sounds like he has broken a leg again so probably won't be going anywhere for a while.

Hopefully we spend the £25 mill we get for Deeney all on Pickford.

I think he will end up at Burnley/Stoke or a promoted side next season, I think it was Guardiola when he was at Barca who said we have 10 Wilshires in our academy, whether he actually said it or not you do think it is probably not far from the truth. This was meant to be his season slotting in to an attacking, attractive style of play with muff and their young hotshot English manager where he was meant to sparkle but no goals and barely any assists I believe you have to imagine his confidence is rock bottom.

I think he should look at going abroad for a season to take some of the spotlight and scrutiny off him.

Just to confirm above about his rash and poor tackling, he fractured leg against spurs at the weekend and will now obviously miss another chunk of his career!

This season, despite already being finished, is his second highest league performance in numbers. Absolute joke.
