In Need Of Help For Arsenal Game

I have been very unlucky with my choice of matches in the last two years. The last two games I booked were cancelled due to Covid. Now I have booked flights and hotels for the Arsenal game and it’s sold out! I assumed, very foolishly, that the game would not be a sell out as I think it is live on TV. Anyway, I got on to the club to see if they could help, as I was aware that they sometimes keep a stock of tickets for overseas fans, but no luck. My son and I and my brother and his son are travelling. We have been told by the ticket office that we have a 50/50 chance of getting tickets if we turn up on the day.

Can anyone advise how I can secure the best chance of getting tickets? Is there a safe and reliable site for re-sale tickets? I have not been in this position before for any of the games we have gone to in the past.

    All advice welcome.

I'm not able to offer any help but from what I've seen on tv we've had at least 1000 empty seats for the bigger games despite being 'sold out'. Whether the people who don't attend bother to give up their seats to the club is another thing

There is no 100% way to be assured of tickets in this situation. You can risk it and turn up on the day and get the tickets or you could be turned away. Then you of course have to think of the extra cost of getting there and back especially if your turned away. It is certainly one to weigh up the pros and cons. Personally, the way we have been playing as of late - and the amount of empty seats when we played Brighton would suggest there are quite a few "stay-aways" at the moment. It's probably more than likely you will get tickets on the day but again, it's a risk.

If fans' who had tickets but decided they cannot go for whatever that reason is, let the club know in advance - then amendments can be made. A "sold" but vacant seat in the ground could be used for fans' like yourself and others, who rarely get to go. Keep emailing/contacting the ticket office over the next few days and leading up to the game to be kept in the loop. All the best with it, I hope it works out in your favor.

Many thanks. We will figure out something. Really enjoy the trips to the Vic.

Do the club even still do the thing where you can let them know if you’re not going? I haven’t seen it promoted since pre-Covid.

Might be able to give you two together in SEJ. Will message you privately by end of week as there's chance we'll be away.

I haven’t seen it promoted but just sent email releasing my Palace seats so will see if I get a response.

You never see these crazy situations occur when we play against Burnley or Norwich. Weird.

There’s a few people on here who can probably get you tickets in the away end…
