No idea but he’s probably frustrated that the deluded Pozzo actually thinks he should make a profit when he sells him. (Source: Burnsy)
To give Louza a bit of credit, he actually looked like he gave a crap on Tuesday night. Passing it to team mates whereas the others just stood around mostly with their fingers up their noses. I still believe there is talent there, but for whatever reason we haven't seen it and his lack of starts (for this possible reason) is going to make a move away even more likely in January. Whether we sell him at the first offer to get rid or loan him out to get some playing time back is however impossible to say.
If he could play like he did Tuesday he would be an asset as we certainly looked better when he came on mostly due to the fact he could pass the ball to one of ours!
One of the main people of DNSYE is named Justin. However I don't know if this is the same guy. He runs the post-match podcasts with Peter, who runs the entire thing.
He looked good when he came on vs Swansea and tonight he really stepped up. We know how good he can be. If he can get back to that level that is a massive bonus to us. He was class tonight, and battled for every ball too. Either something has switched in his head or he knows he has to play well to get a move. Really hope it's the former because he will make us better.
I thought he was decent but nothing special, beyond one great pass. He was very poor for the chance Oxford should have scored (when Porteous headed it against Pollock).
That pass, though, is something that no other midfielder in the Championship is able to do. If that was KDB for Man City everyone would be up in awe about it. Also, if you look at Louza's stats he's doing much more than just that one pass. The way he recycles the ball is so much quicker and more progressive than the rest of our midfielders and it's no coincidence that we only got a foothold in the game at Swansea when Louza came on. I get it, he's not great defensively and gets tons of stick for not stopping a cross. However, if Porteous simply clears the ball with his feet instead of losing his mind it's really nothing. Nobody seems to be up in arms about Festy not stopping the cross for the big chance Oxford had in the first half, which is actually much worse because a) he's actually playing full back and seemed to completely switch off and b) it was a much more dangerous situation with a winger running into the box.
We haven’t seen much of Louza recently, but I think his poor attitude (which I won’t deny has probably been a factor) has not been in evidence since TC took over. I even remember seeing him celebrating our goals and victories when he’s been on the touch line or walking onto the pitch to get cuddles with the rest of the team. I like him, and his beard.
Better on the ball than Dele-Bashiru and Sissoko, not better than them off the ball. So just depends what the plan is for the game but he’s shown he can play a part.
I actually posted in the shout box that I thought Ebosele was poor and then again in my comment on the match thread. I just feel there's always a desire to elevate Louza's performances to a level higher than they actually are because people still believe he can succeed here. In reality, he's shown very little (beyond poor attitude) in the time he has been here.
I think it's more that he does things others can't. He keeps the ball, plays simple passes to his team mates, has the ability to play balls in to spaces that create chances. Nobody else in our squad does that
A manager young enough to understand him and maybe reaching an age where he’s naturally maturing? Could also finally be getting over double ankle injuries and missing out on Morocco’s greatest ever moment on the world stage.
Gave the ball away a few times, which gave BC chances. Hit the first man on a corner too. But, at least he seems to be moving about more and putting 75% of a shift in. Another option at least. He keeps the ball moving, pings it straight back to sender too much mind. Yet to convince me fully. Needs to ditch the Brylcreem.
He's been alright, nothing special. I think I'd still have two of TDB, Sissoko and Kayembe (assuming they're fully fit) over him.
