How Many Goals With Rajovic Get This Season?

Who cares now? He's left us, which is a pity. He has the knack of being in the right place at the right time to score goals. I was sorry to see him go.

 

Another loss to the Carrot Crunchers at Carrot Road. Not a fluke either. Let's hope we can bounce back with a win against Sunderland after an inevitable heavy midweek defeat against a Manchester City XI.

 

Getting him out on loan is short term pain, and mid-term loss as he'll only be back again.

Or do they have to buy him?

They do not have a purchase option as part of the loan deal.

If they wanted to keep him there'd be nothing stopping them making an offer of say £2mil in Jan though, double what we paid for him, which given our current dealings seems the kind of thing we may consider, however ill advised or not. Brondby have bought a fair few players for such a fee in recent seasons.

We will sell him for £2m in January and buy "a 32 year old Jebbison equivalent" for £1m on a 4 year deal.

 

Was a classic Raj goal. 3 yards out and an open goal. Jebbison take notes please.

 

In fairness it was still easier than Jebbison's chance, which came at him with a bit of speed off the post and with him not facing towards goal so needing a swivel.

Rajovic's was just rolled at a fairly gentle pace right on a plate for him.

Not saying that Jebbison shouldn't have also scored, but goals don't get more of a simple tap-in than that Rajovic one and it's harsh to compare the two.

Rajovic may have also done better with Jebbo's chance as well mind.

 

Oh yeah absolutely, Rajs was much easier. Rajs goal was worth 0.95 xG, Jebbisons miss was 0.61 xG

 

I was reading the Elton John / Graham Taylor book yesterday and noted that Ross Jenkins went out on loan to Washington for 6 months, then returned and was terrific. I still have hopes for Raj.

 

I’d agree with that, if you miss the chance Rajovic did, you should be fined a month’s wages, Jebbison definitely should have scored, and I think more often than not he does, but it came at him quicker and he had to turn to get a proper contact on it. But hey, a goal is a goal, who cares how it comes, if it increases Rajovic’s confidence and he goes on to bag regularly now, fair play to him

 

Rajovic since signing for Watford has scored a goal every 144 minutes he has played. Across his career every 160 minutes.

Jebbison career stats show he scores every 260 minutes. With a goal every 800 minutes at championship level. (7 of his mammoth 11 career goals came at league one level). An argument that he has played insufficient games to show enough data is true, but also highlights a lack of experience.

Bayo... Scores a goal every 341 minutes for wfc. With career stats of every 185 minutes per goal at various levels. He's clearly not scoring at his usual rate for us for whatever reasons.
