How interesting. Trieste was quite pretty I think. I would love to teach English in Italy one day, I love your country haha.

We say over here that it is very difficult to find really good Italian wines from anywhere outside Italy. People say that the Italians keep the best wines for themselves, and quite fairly so I suppose. As far as I'm concerned this is true, because I love wine and I might consider going into the wine business in the coming years, but I have tried great wines from some countries in Europe and the Southern Hemisphere, but never Italy. Can you send me a bottle please? Haha.

They seem to have great art/history & lovely food/wine.

All we have are fast food and the Harry Potter studios.

have a look also at ryanair flights to Triest. Triest airport (Ronchi dei Legionari) is only half an hour drive from Udine. And mountains are also very close.

What would happen if Udinese and Granada both qualified for the same European competition and were drawn against each other?

Are there plans afoot to loan the yellow order to Udinese so they come back as proper ultras?

Well, what usually happens in the modern-day European competition is that the two teams will play eachother twice, once at team A's ground, and once at team B's grounds. If they play eachother in the group stages, then they will play 2 other teams as well, but if your question occurs in the knockout round, they play each other consecutively and whoever has done the best after those 2 games goes through.

Glad to see we agree HB1 :sign15: As I have said in a couple of posts already, I think the emphasise could move from Udinese to WFC in a few years if we become an established Premier League team; As there is far more money to be made in The Premier League than there is in Sierie A!!!

So let me get this straight.

We would would be an established premiership team with links to talent in Spain and Italy.

As Dara said in the build up to the football last night, I think you have just made the pleasure centres in my brain explode.

Luton are still in the conference right?

    Am I actually dreaming?
Dont care dont wake me up please.

Welcome to our new Italian and Spanish friends. Hopefully this deal will go through now because the whole deal sounds entertaining if nothing else! Visiting Udine and Granada? What a cracking idea.

Welcome Lorenzo, monicav, aieaiebrazor, kurtz,AAA SORETE PROTONE and thank you kindly for all the information you have provided.

Udinese Calcio have been pretty solid in serie A for several seasons but like say Palermo you bring in players who are known but perhaps other clubs don't wish to take a gamble on and then sell them on or strike co-ownership deals with the so called bigger clubs in Italy.

I don't think Pozzo snr. is mad like Zamperini but they do have sound business sense in buying players for relatively little like Pastore and selling them for an absolute fortune. Not so good of course for the original selling club.

Sometimes it works and sometimes as with former Boca starlet Forestieri it doesn't.

I can see why the Pozzo family would be keen to buy into Watford. Infact it could well be part of a trend. Many rich people see particularly with the even bigger TV deal that the English Premier League has struck that there is money to be made.

But all of the clubs in that division have been bought so they are looking a division below. There are several other clubs in our division that are up for grabs and under consideration from people from China, the Middle East ,Russia and India.

So I am glad in a way that the Pozzo's have an idea of what football is about unlike some of these other prospective owners.

One thing may hinder him unless he can get our excellent academy the top rating from the EPL. Otherwise the clubs like Arsenal etc etc can come in and buy young players from clubs like ours for vastly less than what they were paying before. This could be a problem but I am sure if he does buy us he will tackle that as soon as possible.

We don't all play long ball football either. The academy has the kids playing the right way so any loanees from Udinese shouldn't find it too much of a footballing shock. The cultural difference may be a problem as many South American players prefer to go to Italy or Spain.

And in a way the division could toughen them up physically. It might take a season which is not ideal but take the example of a well known player like Colocinni. Terrible at La Coruna when he was more of a defensive midfielder, a couple of seasons including one in our division have made him physically more robust and tougher.

If you can tell Pozzo senior to try and sign young Thiago Casasola of Huracan. Outstanding young Argentine defender. ;)

you perfectly got the point I tried to explain in my first post.
you are lucky if Pozzo will take over.
With us he started for passion and made some mistakes at the beginning then he found the key and set up the system which now a lot of people envey him, but nobady is able to copy. Now it has become a proper business, but not one of those that are looking for a quick burgain and then disappear leaving debts behind. His business grows when the team grows and reaches great results. His network of talen scouts around the world is amazing as amazing is the way he cleverly succeeds in making money out of this business. He has now more then a hundred player under contract around the world, to grow the more talented ones in own teams according to the different requirements is just brilliant.
relax and enjoy the future it is going to bring you a lot of satisfactions.

If we could manage to make a join venture of supporters between Udinese, Watford and Granada we could also have a great bounch of people supporting each other around Europe!

    Hi guys
welcome to the Pozzo's holding.I'm pretty sure that at the long run the purchase of Watford club will be of mutual benefit for fan's and property.
    Do not have expectations to win the premier league but you can bet that you will see great football at high premier levels.Strategy is simple and straight forward;
Solid and healthy financial position, competence and last but not least the capability to understand when the right time as come to sell the right player at the right club.Im a fanatic UDINESE fan since i was born,i have seen many good players passing through Udine and then go playing to metropolitan teams with huge investment possibilities...well believe me or not i feel proud of the property coz i understand that is the only way to survive (unless you call Abramovic yourself) and to perform at high levels (as Udinese is being doing for the past 15 years) with limited budgets.
Today i have officially become a Watford fan.

The Pozzo family are good managers.
They know that to improve revenues you have to improve the results, but you have to compromise between expenses and results.
With Pozzo you will never win the premier league, but in some years you will probably be steadily in premier.

This is what I hope for watford.
