Wow. Impressive photos but I'm sure we can match that in Watford. Trying to find a picture of the pond in the high street..........
Wow! What an absolutely awesome town you have. I think rather than concentrate on Watford town centre itself I would focus on nearby london and the countryside surrounding us. Herts, Oxford and Bucks are the basis for The Shire in Lord of the Rings after all.
I would love to see some Watford (and nearbies) photos Thanks about the compliments of Granada, really, its a nice place to visit (and live at). Medium size, nice old area, nice people...
Did meridensi scrawl that ? We used to be a very characterful town roji but the sixties saw modernism run mad in the town and it is now a soulless clone like so many towns across Britain. No character at all and the rural aspect has long gone. About a hundred years ago. Granada is simply stunning with it's surrounding scenery and architecture. We could not compete in the slightest. No palaces for any Holy Roman Emperor's here. We do have some Roman settlements near here like you at Illiberis and I do like the look of that opera house. Culture in Watford isn't that great in comparison. We've a decent local orchestra and theatre and that's it. However many recordings you hear in film sound tracks like Lord of The Rings and for classical music are recorded at our Town Hall Auditorium which has magnificent acoustics.
 We need to find out who said this!! Seeing as it used to just say Peas, the theory is it was a dyslexic peace activist ...
Cassiobury Park is nice. It's true that it's not a picturesque town anymore. Some of the surrounding towns and villages in Hertfordshire are nice places to visit [cough Tring ]
Tring is wonderful, I miss it. Granada is very beautiful, I enjoyed my time there and regret not moving there permanently when given the opportunity.
@Hollywood I hope Granada will have a better team, compared with the one that we have last season. I trust Pina (and also Pozzo) on new signins. I dont mean that our team was a bad one; but this season I think that Granada won't have as much problem as we had to stay in "La Liga" @rojiblancohorizontal @domthehornet Thanks for the welcome!! :]]
Bienvenido! Mucho gusto. What are the general feelings among Granada supporters now that the Pozzo's have bought Watford?
Perhaps there should be 'Pozzo club days' organsied. We could choose a home game for all three clubs where supporters of all can met up. Anyone up for trips to Spain and Italy this coming season?
That was along the lines of what I was thinking, though I may have to do just Granada and WFC. The trip to Udine may have to wait for the next time. Granada is on the opposite side of the country from your old stomping grounds, eh Jimbo?
Same here.. Though if you are travelling from the Uk i see Ryanair fly from Stansted to nearby both places. For Udine you can go to either Venice or Trieste and for Grenada you can fly to Almeria. Cheap as chips!
Perhaps someone could organise a coach tour; perhaps leaving straight after a game at the Vic!!! Horns European Tour sounds good to me!!!
