Yes, sadly financial disagreements can lead to antipathy and conflict. My 12 year old son has owed me, for some time, £5 change from £10 i leant him for a Tesco meal deal. However, although I resent the lack of repayment I still find it in my heart to love him.

Hmm, you seem to be a fairly tolerant, forgiving and pleasant kind of person. That does seem to be a little suspicious and dare i say it sinister. Please try to be a little less decent as there are forum rules we all need to abide by for the sake of consistency.

I'm amazed you've put the figure that high given you regularly label them "spineless" and "docile".

Is he actually any good? Peterborough fans didn't seem to believe that Kyprianou or Jade jones didn't put any effort in at all last night. So maybe they were playing within themselves to avoid injury.

No idea. I like the fact that’s he’s currently a captain elsewhere though. Our squad desperately lacks leaders.

Suspect that’s currently a big issue with why we lose so meekly - no one setting standards on the pitch. By TC’s own admission, Sissoko isn’t a vocal leader.

Definitely seems to have dropped off in form this season.

Maybe @reids could do one of his charts where he compares his stats this season vs last?

Ok I didn't realise he was captain. Tbh I know zero about him or his style of play. But we desperately need bodies all through the spine of the team.
If they are looking at league one I'd be very happy if they were looking at Wigans keeper. Not seen much but looks very confident in taking crosses and has a booming kick on him. England U21 keeper too I believe. Then there's Leaburn at Charlton who I believe has all the qualities to be a Prem striker in the future. Back from a bad injury but has found his scoring boots again.

I found this scout report by a QPR fan wanting to sign him last year:

Kyprianou is tall & athletic, using his agility and strength extremely well to receive from defenders and quickly turn it into an attack for Peterborough. He’s strong in the air and uses his positional intelligence, anticipation and reactions to position himself defensively to keep Peterborough’s shape strong. He has intelligent movement to step up or out into pockests of space and he’s an active creator from deep with a quality first touch and excellent range of passing to unlock defences & play through the lines. Kyprianou has all the tools of an exceptional holding midfielder and his physical attributes enable him to be strong in the contact as well as being a classy operator.

Contributing 8 goals and 1 assist this season is evidence of Kyprianou’s ability to crash the box late on and be an asset aerially too. He’s an outlier statistically when compared to other defensive midfielders in League One, placing in the top 5% for xG (8.89), Goals (8), Successful Pass (1,941), Long Ball Accuracy (63.7%), Touches in opponent’s box (85), Duels Won (260) and Aerial Duels Won (127). Incredible season from the youngster who will no doubt be going to the very top level in the next couple of seasons.

The Cypriot international will be in high demand, with many clubs in the Premier League and Championship monitoring Peterborough and their talented youngsters. He also has a contract until 2027 having recently joined from Leyton Orient last summer — meaning he’d be a relatively expensive acquisition. However, QPR could really use a dominant holding midfielder who can play forward as well as defend astutely and Kyprianou is that seriously talented player.

Get him in. He's young enough he can still improve, he's obviously got some leadership skills being captain, and he's clearly been at least pretty good at the level below.

More than happy for us to be looking at young-ish players who look ready to step up to the Championship from League One than random punts from abroad.

Genuinely, my single No.1 most-hated quirk of modern Twitter-affected football discourse is the invention and popularisation of the phrase 'crash the box'.

It's visceral in me, and I'm sure not entirely rational. It makes me want to commit acts of violence against inanimate objects. And it's almost always used by those 15-year-olds running 'tactics' accounts who pick arguments with our very own LouOrns and speak in a simply grotesque way about 'generational' players and 'levels'; utterly divorced from reality.

Yeah but you know in your heart we'll ruin him somehow. It's just the way we do things. Really wouldn't get your hopes up!

He's either good enough for us, in which case we will be outbid and he will star against us later in the season, or hopefully he's rubbish and no-one else will bid, we will finally get our man and he can crash the box for us.

To be fair these days LouOrns spends a fair amount of his time wilfully engaging in spats. His burner account had a pretty unpleasant row with that Charlie Pod bloke the other week!

I had never seen or heard of that Charlie Pod guy before that happened, I'm still not entirely sure what his place in the pantheon of Watford Twitter football freaks is (There are a very select few Watford Twitter presences I do not consider freaks :)).

I believe he makes “AI” music. Some of it is quite funny. The one about bassini made me chuckle about how “with his crazy schemes he fizzes and lights up the night!”.

From my mate who supports the Posh, and who told me several years ago that Ivan Toney would be good at Watford, and will one day play for England. (You know, just before he signed for Brentford because of Pozzo not wanting to pay the asking price.)

    He says:
He’s out of contract at the end of the season and won’t be signing a new one so will be gone this window. I like him. He’s a good size, technically good and while being more of a defensive playmaker type, can score a goal. We got him from Orient and he really blossomed last year. This year he’s been injured a lot and hasn’t really got up to speed but he’s the club captain.

Watford would be a good move for him as he’s a north London Cypriot lad. Cardiff and Plymouth are both keen but he can do better than that. I can see him playing in the prem if he kicks on. Injuries have hampered him this year.”

He didn’t say that he can crash the box, so, make of that what you will.

Sounds like a good punt and if he'd feel at home at the Atria we've got it made. Perhaps.

Over to you, Gino! [Sorry, I'm just taking to Mogi about a Udinese reserve left winger]

Makings of a good young midfield - Louza is still only 25, Kyprianou next to him. Chaks ahead, Vata and Baah either side...

Then the fairly obvious areas which need improvement (i.e. everywhere else)

A mate of mine is a Posh season ticket holder. He said:

"Interesting, a few clubs are after him. Pretty solid but had big injury last year and isn’t back to his best yet!"

I reckon he could prove to be a decent recruit that wouldn't cost the earth.
