Happy Anniversary of that 4:0 win

Ive never seen us beat them. But since I’ve been a supporter I’ve never seen them finish above us. Have seen us lose (the aforementioned league cup tie when Springy scored a belter for them) and draw with them but not seen us win. However, growing up in deepest darkest Bedfordshire, 99% of my friend’s/associates supporting them, their five years in the wilderness, losing play off semi finals, finals etc, was absolutely fantastic. And us being in a higher position in the premiership than what they are in league 1, I’ll happily accept not seeing us beat them. It’ll happen one day, but for now, I’m thoroughly enjoying every last second.

 

Wasnt the Anglo Italian game at home though?


Hard to judge how many Watford fans made it to the away game in 86. I was at the "home" (kenilworth road) end and i'd say there was around 30 of us that somehow managed to find each other. We were slap bang in the middle of the home support and they were.. whisper this.... friendly!
The away supporters ban seemed to work in as much as their regular ****heads seemed to have disappeared. The ones we got chatting to (yes chatting) told us they were pleased to have some away fans for a change, even if it was us. All in all the least amount of hassle of any visit i made to their place.
