Never seen that before, well worth a watch about the great man, never thought he could go any higher up in my estimation but just did.

Planning application to move the statue west by almost 3m of original location has been submitted. Sh1ts about to hit the fan

  9. Why - is he refusing to move?

    Brilliant.

GT doing it in a rainy Tuesday night vs Stoke.

    Was he borrowing Elton’s glasses?

Do you have any idea where the statue will eventually by placed? I'm guessing outside the club shop is the best option

It's being held up because Moshiri has tried tapping him up. Not sure he's noticed its a statue yet...

In central defence for us next season. It'll blend right in.

Sage advice from GT about young managers from 0.38-0.55, even he prophesied about Silva in 1979.

Well the contractors are already building the concrete base that will support the statue. I expect they will face it with some nice hard wearing marble finish.

Still makes me sad to know that he will never grace Vicarage Road again. RIP Sir GT

Have a word with the big man up there GT, as it looks like we might need some divine intervention to stay up this season :)

No chance. The thing that made him great wasn't only his talent, his humanity etc. But his connection with Watford.

Even if we fluked the next great manager, they'd never truly be a 'Watford' man. They'd be passing through, a la Rodgers, Dyche, Mackay etc.

Football has changed and we will never see the like again.

Shook his hand at a fan forum in 1997. Brilliant man - had a real football brain, loved the town, club and the people. Even when he was manager at Wolves and Villa for those brief spells it was always good to listen to his interviews. We played Tranmere in his final home game, drew 1-1. Sir Elton on the big screen and GT stood in the centre cirlcle with a microphone addressing the fans'. So glad I was there that day. Love and condolences to all who knew and was close to him. Never forgotten - a true Hornet. xxx

Doubt you will see managers doing that now !

GT gave us two great away victories on October 4th. Firstly at Old Trafford in 1978 (as a third tier club) and secondly at the Kennel in 1997 :D.
