    Just awaiting Grrwood's response now, 21 fake accounts set up and I can create one more for him if required and then I will randomly allocate today or tomorrow hopefully so you can all make sure you are able to log in.

    Looks like it will be 21/22 players now.

    I'm just finalising the rules for the game and I've decided on most.

    Seeing as the game is so large, what are everyone's thoughts on a third wolf from the start and the Guardian having unlimited 'visits' (still just one to each player though) to cancel it out? There will be a traitor too.

    As it is my first game, I'm more than happy to take on-board everyone's suggestions.

    I think 3 wolves and a traitor is fine with over 20 players.

    And guardian with unlimited saves but only 1 per person.

    The poll only allows for 20 options, so while we have over 20 we may need a separate thread for people to write their votes.

    Ah damn, didn't realise that. Hopefully it will only impact on Day 1 - I'll put something else in place for that day (possibly another thread as you say).

    EDIT: Think I can change the max number of options so I'll do that temporarily.

    Also, as I am likely adding a third wolf from the start I could potentially allow wolves to kill each other? Maybe something like this:

    If Alpha picks Beta or Charlie, no-one dies. The Alpha finds out the Beta/Charlie's identity.
    If Beta picks Charlie, no-one dies. The beta finds out the Charlie's identity.
    Essentially, if a wolf tries to kill down the chain, they find out the wolf they tried to kill's identity.

    If Beta or Charlie picks Alpha, the Beta or Charlie dies.
    If Charlie picks Beta, the Charlie dies.
    If a wolf tries to kill up the chain, the more powerful wolf kills them.

    EDIT: Of course if this results in wolf deaths, etc then there is always the possibility of a full moon at some point too.

    Thoughts?

    Won't affect me anyway as I'm always a plain old villager (apart from one turn as the harlot) but seems fair enough that the dominant wolf would take out a lesser one for having the temerity to challenge them.

    I like the number of roles and way you've set them out and there'll be enough interest anyway with the anonymity.

    I'm sure there were some rules a few years ago that had the wolves selecting each other covered pretty well.

    This is also a really basic question but one I can't remember the answer to...

    Can a wolf kill the guardian?

    Let's say the guardian chooses to protect a random player.

    A wolf chooses to kill the guardian (the guardian isn't protecting themselves).

    Does the wolf kill the guardian when they 'return' from protecting the random player?

    The guardian definitely dies.

    My questions :
    Is a guardian is allowed to protect themselves (normally no)?
    What happens if a guardian, and the person the guardian tries to protect, are both targeted on the same night by wolves? Do both die, or does the guardian save one before being killed themselves? (from your response above, it looks like the latter).

    I've put a bit about this in my rules thread.

    Guardian can save themselves once but it is usually not that common they do it.

    In the second question, the flow will go like this:

    Wolf B chooses to kill Player X
    Player X is saved by the Guardian.
    Guardian returns home and Wolf A (who has obviously chosen to kill the Guardian) kills the Guardian.
