There won’t be a release clause as we just don’t do them with our owners… I dare say, it’ll be a case of ‘you deserve this…so here’s a new deal on a fair bit extra a week for a year or two more (for our security) and we’ll include a woolly agreement that we will discuss an exit at certain points, with a certain level of club, if we aren’t at an agreed level ourselves. Here’s the pen Giorgi…’ It can only be good news that a player of his current stature is happy to sign on for us again IMO. He’ll be gone in the summer though if he keeps his form up and we come mid-table or lower.
This is excellent (and unexpected) news! Our best player and surely one of the best in the EFL, perfect age and still room for development after a career with some nasty injuries. Good job!
Good news. Hopefully he can start chipping in with some more goals, bit sad that our best attacking player has only score twice in 2000 minutes.
It is why he plays for us . If he had 5-10 goals in him then he would have been picked up by bigger fish in the pond .
Indeed. Messi with the ball, Andre Gray final ball. Not sure I’ve ever seen a player have such a chasm between the two areas.
Absolutely running riot against WBA, what a performance. I pray that we don't sell him in January but guess the club needs the £££.
If he could get his final pass or scoring right, he would genuinely be one of the best players on the planet. Sadly, he will not be with us after this season, at best.
Increasingly unplayable for opponents. And I can forgive the lack of end product when his overall play is so disruptive to the opposition and literally carries us from the edge of our own box to the edge of theirs.
