Not really that smart. Giving Geri away for an "undisclosed" fee to his other club. The Pozzo's still have an obligation to pay his salary.

To be fair we had nothing to do with his rehab. He went off to Spain and used his own contacts, I think he even choose what surgeon to see.

Surely he's taken a pay cut, I can't imagine Udinese would be paying him over £60k a week

We’ll be making up the shortfall for the remainder of his original contract.

He's just put out on Instagram that he tore his meniscus and his recovery has failed.

Has to have further surgery. What a damn shame for such a wonderful footballer.

I think it is as far as any hopes of him returning here are concerned.

I wonder whether he was rushed back into playing in the first place.

Almost certainly yes, seemed far away from a return when he was contracted to us, only to return to action immediately when he went to Udinese

    Time to come home, Geri.

I know he's had a few injuries of late, but he is still only just turned 27 so should make a full recovery.

He's been broken one too many times, if he came back I reckon we'd all be dissapointed, best thing is to keep the good memories.

I think Del Boy is one of those players that will never reach his full potential.
Unfortunately injuries have cost him in his career. If he was to return I wouldn’t be disappointed but I think we should savour the memories he’s magic you know.

If you watch his highlights at Udinese the knee injury doesn't seem to have robbed him of his pace or agility at all, and isn't the current injury a fairly minor cartilage issue?

I'd still have him back in a heart beat. Extremely unlikely we will get/pay for anyone better.

Our medical team can fix any injury, any time, 100% good as new. We all know that.

Genuine question because I haven't been watching much of Udinese this season, why hasn't he produced much this season then? Serie A is quite a bit worse than the Prem, yet he's got one goal and 2 assists in 13 games. Theoretically it's possible this was just a season to shake the cobwebs off and he'll be back good as new next season, but I wouldn't bank on it...

Honestly I haven't really watched them either, I did just literally watch some Deulofeu highlights before posting and it seemed pretty clear the injury hadn't robbed him of his best attributes. As you say it could well be a case of just not quite getting up to speed after such a nasty one and then picking up this other injury.

With a full pre-season and if we can keep him fit then we aren't getting anyone better.

If Delefeou is fit, then it’s a no brainer to get him back as he is not far behind Sarr’s level. But we all know players often take a long time to get back to their previous level after a serious injury. I would work on the basis that he won’t be available next season, but if he is fully back then it’s a major bonus.

Yes, get him back. We clearly played our best football when Sarr and Dele were both on the pitch. The prem hasn't got easier.

I doubt Delofeou will be back and would we really want him as his fitness and form seems to have deteriorated since he has been at Udinese. Also don't forget unlike others he really pushed for a move as he did not want to be with us in The Championship, therefore I don't think his heart is really with WFC.

I loved him while he was here, but I'm not sure I would want him back for the reasons I have highlighted above.

Gerard Deulofeu plays in the ranks of Udinese© Maxppp
Despite facing up to the last moment, even outnumbered, Villarreal left the contest empty against a FC Barcelona that flies high towards the conquest of the First Division title . Anyway, this story will focus on an interesting market opportunity for the Yellow Submarine , given that it could strengthen its offensive plot with a former of our League.

This is Gerard Deulofeu (27 years old), who defends the colors of Udinese , but acts on loan from a Watford that will compete in the Premier League as of next season. According to what El Periódico Mediterráneo indicates , the group headed by Unai Emery would find itself designing its offensive to add the extreme extreme to its ranks. Villarreal could obtain his property pass with an investment of € 10 million .

Don't like the thought of this.

  35. If he's happy to come back, and he's fit, we'd be morons not to take him
