Wheelchairs blocking the fire exits, vegetables being launched on the pitch, tongues being swallowed all over the gaff.
A week ago the idea of Tom playing Sissoko, Kayembe and Ince in midfield would’ve been unthinkable. When it happens tomorrow it’ll be like Last Night of the Proms
This was Knight with his mates last week at Pride Park, not quite so livid then were you? You big wuss!
Clev deserves a send off. I wouldn't blame him for putting the u21s in. Those snakes in the squad guarding the Bayat dollars can feck the feck off. Feck Gino Pozzo.
Of course we’ll lose. Coventry are on the up and have a far better squad than us to start with. We have several key players injured, form is terrible, morale is low. All perfectly set up for Gino to sack TC on Sunday and install the new guy on Monday. One last roll of the dice before selling Baah, Vata, Louza and Chak in the summer to recoup some of the 52m and then he can throw his toy away.
This is the battle of the quarter wits. Two thick fux going head to head. The only thing we can know for sure, is that shrewd football tactics and eloquent after match interviews will be the loser today.
So I decided to buy a ticket for this last weekend after the Derby win & lots of alcohol. A nice little 260 mile round trip to see Tom's last game without the threat of Baah. Can't see anything other than a decisive home win, would love to be proved wrong but we all know how this ends.
Will it still be supportive of Tom and the team even if we put in another stinker of a performance? I noticed there wasn’t much in the way of noise as the game on Tuesday went on. Almost as if the on pitch action had deflated everyone .
It's going to be a stinker today, we're going to have a midfield consisting of Sissoko and Kayembe or Ince.
But no chants against Cleverley either. It was a very, very flat game given we didn't cause Preston any issues until Vata scores his belter and we put anything resembling pressure on in the last 10 minutes. If it had been anyone other than Cleverley and his current situation you can bet it would have been a toxic atmosphere in the stands than just quiet that game. (That, and the ground was half full it felt)
True I think almost everyone has no problem with Cleverley . Any disappointment was probably aimed at the players - even Tom himself was getting unusually very frustrated .
Civil war this pm amongst WFC fans with the "Cleverley out army" meeting the "Pozzo out brigade". Many handkerchiefs could be lost in battle.
I think the off the pitch moves to undermine TC are probably not helping the on the pitch situation at the moment. From the looks of it things maybe started going sour behind the scenes mid December as our performances suddenly went flat for no reason. There have been plenty of stories about Ginos running of the club coming from ex players and staff to add to the very public stuff we know about.
Morris and Poretous back from the cold. It does feel a bit like its a case of trying anything in the defence! Good to see Georgi back - need a big game from him.
Back to a 5 - so TC realises even having to field Morris is preferable to Sissoko. Larouci at wing back rather than full back is slightly less scary, although possibly a case of the blind leading the defensive blind on that wing...
Yeah, cause an unchanged XI was on the cards with Baah and Louza injured and Sissoko being absolute dog sh!t…
I think that will be the final straw. Positively asking for it. We just need Edwards to return to replace TC and lead us to an unexpected promotion and the world will have turned full circle.
