For what its worth I heard this from the guy who told me not to worry when Bassini said that the takeover deal was off. those on the forum at the time may remember I was adamant that it was still on. he basically said that we have enquired, and have made an initial approach to test the water.

Yeah, this is the guy who linked up with Dybala and was responsible for a lot of his success in terms of feeding off him in a partnership and providing assists, I don't think palermo will let him go given they've just sold Dybala to Juventus, and if they do he'll be going somewhere big.

 

Added to what Chumlax said, I get the feeling that if we do get him, he'd be first-choice and thus will replace (sorry for the blasphemous comment here) the Professor. I don't see us doing that. I really feel that we're going to get Pritchard on a season-long loan for some reason. No proof, just more of a gut feeling. It is a bit weird though that no team has come in for Pritchard yet

Im going to get crucified on this forum for saying this, but Abdi could well be fighting for a first team place next year, if this is the calibre of player we re looking at.

Irrespective of whether we sign this guy or anyone like it, in a 4 2 3 1 , Abdi s position is the most important role in the team.

The centre of the 3 is the first person the DMs look to pass to, when they ve won possession back. He will be the crux of our counter attacking style, but is he up to being the focus of the oppositions defensive strategy?

Hes going to have the leagues best DMs snapping at his heels at every turn. Has he got the skills to bypass that and still have time to look up and make the killer pass ?

AA was best midfielder in The Championship (imo) , can he step up to such a big role in EPL ? I hope so.

I'm not worried that he can make it in this league, but I'm worried that we look half the team when he it's out, and he doesn't have the best injury record.

The Pozzos are clearly not going to gamble by relying on Abdi's fitness, in our first year in the premiership.

 

No doubt Abdis fitness record is at back of the mind of Ginos transfer dealings. The quality of players we initially looking at are a very high calibre.
