I just beat Derby 5-0 (they were second), and Doyley scored the 5th! A complete fluke mind, he somehow scored from near the corner flag on the right hand side. In front of what I imagined was the Rookery. Not a bad start, 6th after 18 games. Expecting a slump soon though with my small squad!

 

In my second season with Watford, still in the Championship and struggling a bit. Missed out on promotion due to the custom FM slump.

Ironically Newcastle (who were relegated) have just sacked Hughton, guess who replaced him? Alan Pardew.

 

Right officially quit Football Manager for good now. It's a terrible game, and only my addiction to it has kept me playing, but this is something I need to kick asap!

There are so many events in game I seem to be able to predict happening it's daft. It doesn't matter which team I manage and who I sign. Maybe it's me being clueless and rubbish, but I'd like to think after playing this series and other games over my life I'd pick up some knowledge. Anyway, time to kick this habit for good I think.

New FM won't load on my laptop as I don't have the spec. Ho-hum, will go back to playing FM10.

Any one know if there is any way to fix the error ( xml parsing error) it would let me open the game

Not played the game since I wrote that post on 20th December. So 15 days and counting, and I have no inkling to play this again either...

I had that on Fm 2010. You have to go and untick a box about showing hidden files somewhere. Google it and it'll have an answer somewhere.

Pissed off. Bought the game off ebay on Sunday, looking forward for its arrival. It arrived this afternoon, I placed it in my computer and started downloading it. I completed the download at clicked on start game. All the tension was building up and I was excited. I then get a meesage saying something to do with the graphics. I instantly realise that my computer is too old and cannot download the game due to graphics. I try downloading it on my laptop and I have the same problem. It was a disaster and very pissed off:rant:

 

Just got this and started game unemployed. Got the job at Hereford.

Tried to get Massey on loan but he didn't want to come. Ended up getting Liam Henderson on loan :dismay:

can any one give me any tips for formations with watford, what works best etc?

Not yet I don't think.

I just completed my season with Hereford and managed to get promotion to League 1. However, I let my contract expire so I can move somewhere else. I've applied to about 30 jobs in the Brazilian and Argentinian lower leagues but have been unsuccessful in each one...

Looked it up online and quite a few people are saying how difficult it is to get a job sometimes, even though the reputation may be higher than needed. May have to stay in England until my rep is even higher

 

Any good formations for Watford?

 

When i played on 10 4-1-3-2 always worked well for me. On the 11 demo 4-2-2-2 worked well. 2 central mids, then two wide attacking mids and two central strikers.

Now managing Leyton Orient in League 1. Watford are in the same league after relegation, where Malky got sacked. I'm not surprised, he sold Loach, Mariappa, Taylor and Hodson with no replacements.

They are now sitting 22nd in League 1, heading for relegation to League 2:doom::dismay:

Good news from "back home":



Watford won 2-1, doing the double over Luton for that season.

Both are playing in League 2. Watford got relegated two seasons in a row :dismay: . But now John Barnes is in charge and they are sitting 2nd in League 2, heading back up where they belong.

I meanwhile, am managing in Brazil where we play in two different divisions in one season...

 

Qualified for the Champions League after finishing 2nd in Ligue 1. Drew a tough group of Napoli, FC Bayern and AIK. Surprised myself and breezed through the group without losing a game or conceding a goal. Fully expected to get slaughtered by Barca in the first leg. Couldn't believe it when i went 2-0 up early on, before 2 shocking mistakes by Romero between the sticks gifted them 2 goals. Even after saving a penalty from Messi, Romero ended up with a 3.6 match rating. I was out of my seat in the 88th minute when Nicolas Delogu - making his debut due to an injury and suspension crisis - tried to cross the ball and inadvertently swung the ball into the top corner. Incredible stuff.

Finally got round to getting this game.

First match v QPR both Marriapa and Eustace are out injured for 8 months and 9 months.

Two broken legs in one game! TWO!

Oh and Hodsons off to arsenal for £1.7m.

 

I confess I've gone back to this game even though I hate it!

Started unemployed, got a job with Altrincham halfway through the season. they were bottom of the Conference about 20 points adrift. Almost saved them from relegation, but not quite. Since then, we won the Conference North at the first attempt, and then surprisingly won the Conference at the first attempt. Finished about 20th in my first league season. Currently 8th in League Two after 13 games. One of my better efforts in FM11 for a while, still frustrating though, so inconsistant.

I've won 2 consecutive Ligue 1 titles with FC Metz and now i'm looking to move up the managerial ladder to a club with a bit more financial backing.

Liverpool got taken over by a billionaire who pumped a load of money into the club. I was hoping Rafa Benitez would get chopped after leading them to 16th following a £110m spending spree. For some reason they kept him on.

I'm now managing Racing Club in Argentina, some brilliant talent coming through the ranks. I've just managed to win the Copa Libertadores (South American Champions League). Which means we get to go to the FIFA world club cup in December, meaning that we should get to play Barcelona, the Champions League winners.

I'm thinking of moving away from Argentina as the taxes are just too high. The club gets taxed £2m a month, really hinders the growth of club/league

 

Why is it that when i start a game it always has computer performance and estimated speed as half a star?

Means i just can only play as a small database with league one or above?

Is there anything i can do so i can play with more leagues and a bigger database?
