12:30 start again . https://www.watfordfc.com/news/2025/june/26/fixtures-hornets-begin-with-charlton-trip/ Away on Boxing Day for once . Tough end to the season . We will know games on TV up till Christmas in due course I think?
If you had arranged the first 5 home games to **** me up, couldn't have done it better. No home games for me 'til October In fact until 22nd October. I can make most of the aways in that period, but I find the ****ishness of some our younger (and older) fans makes it not worth the effort.
Only a few minutes in to the fixtures news and I'm thoroughly p***ed off with the extensive gushing over Birmingham/Wrexham and the poor Championship saps being lined up for them to pummel, already. Like to think that both end up falling flat on their backsides, you can but hope!
We're 5-0 up after 67 minutes. Luton fans visibly weeping. Sir Elton also paid for everyone's half-time beers.
Final 20 mins was a disaster. Selvik went off injured, so Bachmann came on to a chorus of boos and jeers. Ngakia misread his back pass and smashed in a goal worthy of Messi into his own net. Bachmann was heard shouting "Duck" and the ball bounced off Pollock's noggin and into the net for a second OG. Third and fourth goals were all TDB's fault, thinking he can slalom dribble through the entire team. Lost possession of both counts, allowing the scummers to easily slot past a flapping goalkeeper. For the equaliser, Doumbia had the ball in their half, Keyembe shouted for it and totally botched his control and it 'hospital passed off this foot into the running stride of an attacker with Andrews playing him onside. There was a late penalty for Watford at the death, all I know is TDB was stepping up.
Yes, but there are 24 sides - so I'm not sure when we play Watford home and away. Think the EFL made a whoopee there...
Whilst the hype around them from their owners is annoying, worth pointing out the Brum manager is a Garston lad. I went to school with him and his brother. Really nice family.
Don’t be offended if I don’t bother getting a ticket for this one on a Wednesday night. Sorry to disappoint.
Oh fair dos. Was that St Micks? I'll give him a slight free pass but certainly not the Yanks involved.
From playing Arsenal and City in the league in April 2024 to kicking off against AFC Wimbledon in August 2025 - stuff dreams are made of
Away to a promoted team is the last thing you want on the opening day. Much better to play them later on when their promotion motivating bubble has been burst.
1st game of season away - hopefully will get to my cat c with their away allocation 1st 2 home games of the season I might be away for both Boxing day - away Easter Friday - away Crap fixture list for me. That run in is terrible if we need points for promotion (I mean relegation obviously).
I don't think we will have any trouble getting no points for relegation. Unless you get -3 for a loss.
Oh, I am sure the EFL are working very closely with Sky to ensure that happens as we speak. "Three o'clock football on a Saturday afternoon. Nonsense. Get those revenues in!"
Yes but 20 something years ago. Away to a newly promoted side full of beans, confidence, optimism and togetherness is usually a tough gig.
