This is a red herring, though, isn't it, because it isn't any different to what has happened outside the Xmas/NY period.
All teams need to mix it up and rotate a bit in the busier parts of the season, especially when injuries and suspensions kick in. What annoys me is that while we chop and change from game to game we don't actually use the full squad that are available. Some players, like Bachmann and Ngakia, have been playing through injuries with heavy strappings on the legs even though we have fully capable replacements in the squad who are surely better than playing injured and/or tired players. For someone who has coached at youth level recently, TC also seems very reluctant to play some of our younger players. We have Dwomoh, who is a central midfielder, in our squad and yet we opt for an ageing Tom Ince to play there out of position instead. Why? Dwomoh may only be 20 years old, but he's been playing senior football for a while and made 30 appearances in the Belgian top flight last season. He's not exactly a rookie. Compare that to QPR who had an 18 year old kid in midfield who was released by Spurs this summer having played NO senior football prior to the season whatsoever.
