That is essentially the formation Clevs has been playing, the wing backs push up to make it 3-4-2-1. Yes agreed, like Vata a lot but he’s not better than Chakve or Asprilla right now. Good problem to have however.
He was our best defender for the last few league games of last season, although I agree he wasn't up against that much competition.
Bachmann is absolute pony. Makes a few decent saves and everyone forgets about his complete lack of kicking ability, terrible decision making and inability to come off his line.
There were plenty of stats from last season that showed him to be more than capable at this level. He has faults of course but so does every keeper in this league. He's another of those players where people decide he's rubbish and no matter what that player then does their opinion will never change
He's really not...just Watford have been blessed over the years with above average keepers in Gomes, Almunia, James, Coton, Sherwood et al. He's a decent keeper for a mid to lower end Champ club. If he was as good as he thinks he is then he would be in the Prem. Decent shot stopper, rubbish at distribution but became a target for the boo boys and never lost it

Back ups Gk: Bond CBs: Sierralta, young uns WBs: Andrews, Sema, Morris Mid: TDB, Louza No 10s: Louza, Ince, Kayembe (assuming someone else fills the mid role) Strikers: Rajovik, Bayo, Doumbia plus youths Lots of comments about how lacking in cover we are but I suspect we have a similar level of cover to other run of the mill championship teams. I’d like to have more cover but not sure how realistic this. I’d be happy with a good first choice striker and a cb. If Louza goes than we need to cover him.
we have the equal top goal scorer in the championship and the outright top scorer in the league cup. Prolific.

I’d say our best XI currently is: Bond Pollock - Ogbonna - Morris Andrews - TDB - Sissoko - Larouci Kayembe - Chak Baah We have adequate cover in most positions and I would like to see the likes of Festy, Louza, Ince, Vata get more game time. Morris and Baah have unexpectedly turned into crucial players for us. Having a left footed player at LCB gives us so much more balance and Baah is the only center forward who brings any sort of threat.
Given the injury news just now our best 11 for Saturday is Bachmann Pollock - Sierralta - Porteous Festy - Kayembe - Sissoko - Larouci Ince - Chak Baah
Not sure about Bachmann at the moment, as his confidence seems to shot, but he is probably our best keeper normally.
Interesting look at the quality of our youth recruitment over recent times . Starting XI of U23 players looks pretty decent . Ebosele and Larouci are loans but could see us signing them if we do well this season . (Andrew’s can’t even make the starting team)…..…. Marriot Keben Pollock Morris Ebosele. It’s interesting; they have clearly changed up the recruitment drive now. Gone back to what they are good at in many ways at identifying younger precocious talent and then developing it. I don’t mind it.
Difficult to tell what actually goes on behind the scenes but it seems to coincide with Nani’s appointment .
