I tried to watch that online but it was blocked by the porn filter
Sausage Party, a lot more to this film than meets the eye.
I also recently relived my youth and watched Smokey And The Bandit and The Cannonball Run, utter ****e.
Nativity 2, Danger in the Manger is a horrible film. Despite a fairly decent cast, it's bollox from beginning to end. Not remotely funny, just a pathetic effort at a film.
Rogue One - bloody superb
No spoilers please as I'm going on Sunday
just got in from the cinema and have to say thats a really fun film.
stormtroopers actually hit their targets for once. the empire are a horrble bunch and even the rebels have a dark side.
really good addition to the saga.
only thing that grated for me was the slightly over long dialogue at the start and it really missed the music from john williams.
some great easter eggs and really links into episode 4 much better that episode 3 did.
really really good.
U wot m8?
I've got teenagers. I'll translate.
"I've been to the pictures to see the new Star Wars film. It was quite good."
Well that's all the recommendation I need. I might torrent it for my two - Aethelred the Unready and Lilly Longtongue.
Does it have any nods towards the abstract nature of the collective unconscious in the story?
Ok is this part of the original 3 which turned in 6 then 9 or an of shoot.
For extra points if it doesn't have Jar Jar Fecking Binks in it it has to be half decent.
Isn't there a 'Films you recently watched' thread for this?
I watched Star Wars for the first time a couple of months ago. Pile of sh it
Is this set before the ones I watched as a kid or after them, or on between the other three that I didn't watch which happened in the 00s when they also managed to convince millions of people that they had to go to a cinema to watch a remastered version of the original film and pay for it, even though it used to be on telly twice a ****ing month.
Film "franchises" - how thinly can we spread this premise but still get people to watch a special effects nonsense with no story, script or acting and also create a merchandising gold mine. Film used to be an art form.
Good point, well made.
Moreover, will there be titty?
Felicity Jones is fit.
Was better than the Force Awakens, which was really designed for teenagers to try and attracta future generation of fans. Rogue One seemed to be a bit darker and grown up, there was less bull****/crap acting and leads nicely into A New Hope.
Watched it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.
My Mistress . Australian film 2014.
Very very good. Some very f***ed up people trying to deal with stuff as best they can.
Won tickets to the premiere of Assassins Creed last Sunday.
As a fan of the games, it was a bit disappointing. Thankfully, I knew what was going on because of the games but I'd imagine that the casual viewer will be confused as **** about what's going on.
Huge shame as the cast was very good, it's almost like they had no idea what was going on either.
It was intriguing but I thought the [spolier]gang-rape of Jar-Jar Binks by the Ewoks [/spolier] ,although justified artistically, was a little strong for the family audience.
I watched Concussion last night - the film starring Will Smith as the Nigerian doctor who investigates the fatal effects of injuries in American football.
An excellent film.
Really enjoyed Rouge One. Watched it in 4DX which was very decent itself for a film like Star Wars.
Just finished binge watching the whole Harry Potter series again. Quite entertaining.
Yer a wizard, Harry.
I watched fantastic beasts on Christmas eve. It was excellent.
I just watched Rogue One in Lima. Pretty good film and nicely fits in with the events of Episode IV. I would have enjoyed it more if the tvvat next to me wasn't talking throughout, he may have been reading the Spanish subtitles but I was trying to listen to the dialogue.
I hadn't seen the news all day until I got home so only just found out that Carrie Fisher had died today.
I just got around to watching Suicide Squad. I went in with an open mind.
What an awful film. So disappointing.
The script was abysmal. The directing was incredibly unsatisfying and skipped randomly away before any scene could engross you. The music was incredibly random, and felt like the music companies had paid to place certain songs at random points in the film. I cannot judge the acting, as the script was too poor to judge.
The whole thing felt like somebody was making a film to mock the ridiculousness of action superhero films these days. But a mockery so bad, that they left out the action.
Just watched Passengers, not bad...quite enjoyed it.
Anything with Jennifer Lawrence can't be too bad.
Rogue one was good. Better than the remake of a new hope. However I didn't really like some of it, can't explain it for spoilers but lets just say contrived to shoehorn in continuity.
Watched Room as well, good in parts. Felt the two half nature of the film didnt work but thats what sets it apart I guess from other usual fare.
i actually really enjoyed rogue one. as a stand alone movie it worked very well, and for some star wars fans it does answer some questions about the death star.
Blue Is The Warmest Colour, French art film about lesbian lovers with Adèle Exarchopoulos in it I caught on Film 4 last night. Some very full on sex scenes and good acting all around.
Not a film so I should probably start a thread or find one that already exists. Failing that....... I am watching the complete rerun of Game of Thrones - all six series - at the moment. Fantastic if you like that sort of thing.
