It reminds me of Swallow. Not afraid to break the law if it gets results. Bit of a maverick. Tackling graffiti and vandalism in Norwich.

Joan is ok, set in the eighties, half decent soundtrack, nothing too heavy, reasonably entertaining for an early week night watch.

Thought Monsters was good at the start and the end but sagged a bit in the middle. Liked the last episode when it all unravelled with the guy from Prison Break as the prosecutor, not as good as the Dhamer one though. The next one looks promising, with Charlie Hunman playing the Monster:

  8. Season 4 and 5 done. And I'm actually still enjoying TWD. A lot of twists, a lot of different groups. It's really interesting to see how different people deal with the walkers in different ways.

Season 4 and the illness was a bit boring. Glad they resloved the Govenor arc up quickly as didnt want that to drag on. Season 5 and Alexandria has been really good. Shows how season 1's innocent group were the Alexandrians and now they are the hardened guys who do whatever it takes whil the Alexandrians are innocent and clueless. Rick has gone full on, though Morgan showing up might salvage some of his morality if at least temporarily. Poor Noah. It's amazing how sometimes a death of a long time character doesn't bother you and then a small part really does.

But then Beth man. That really hit hard. I feel like I saw it coming and then it came and BAM. That was a big one.

Thought Glen was a gonner this season and then read something and spoiled future episodes for myself. Loving all the new characters though

I actually love Carol now. Hard ass. Sneaky. She played the part of the innocent and feeble woman to the Alexandrians well while being ond oc the main ringleaders to rake them down. I might actually look forward to the DD book of Carol.

I've read that a few people didn't like it for these seasons. Maybe bringe watching makes it a little better as the slow or boring episodes are soon forgotten within s day of 2 after 3 or 4 more episodes.

Still adding spoilers even though this is years old. Just in case.

It's a few years old, but I've just finished all 6 seasons of The Americans (on the Channel 4 app)

Really enjoyed it and a very powerful ending that I am spending most of the day thinking about.

    Well worth a watch.

Slow Horses... Nearly finished season 1 and whilst it's quite entertaining, I'm struggling to see what the fuss is about.

Seems like standard BBC / ITV Sunday evening stuff.

Industry, the quality has really ramped up with each season, it’s not quite Succession levels of good, but episode one of season three wasn’t a million miles off.

It still packs a punch akin to a kick in the nuts. Mick Jackson Intro was also very good. The Lad's Father being on the bog when the Bomb Goes off demonstrating the Blackest of Black Humour. Amazing that they managed to shoot it in 17 days on a shoestring. Sheffield Woolies being obliterated, Glass milk bottles melting and catching fire, the Lady Urinating In The Streets are images which will never leave me. Got a 2K restoration recently. Such an important piece of work. Still amazing and deeply unsettling in equal measures.

Inside Blenheim palace, behind the grandeur. Channel 5.

Hard hitting docu series, where a pigeon gets stuck inside the exhibition. Scenes.

Although... The pigeon brought in wasn't the pigeon we saw and we didn't actually see them catch it. 100% they shot it.

  30. I'm taking a break for a couple of days to catch up on some other stuff.

I think I've overdosed on TWD over the past month and that episode was heavy! I hope when I come back to it then maybe continuing to blitz it rather than waiting week to week might make it more bearable than your saying.

I've got Fear TWD season 4 to mix in with it too after the next season (I'm skipping FTWD 1-3 as apparently not anything to do with the main season and I read the acting and writing is terrible!).

I love Zombie apocalypse stuff and The Walking Dead was decent but in typical American style it went on too well. Started Fear the Walking Dead but gave up and not bothering with all the other spin offs. Prefer the zombie movies like Dawn of the Dead, original and re make

Not sure how you can really get into it at S4 then? Surely you'll have missed all the foundational stuff?

I've only seen the first couple of seasons of FTWD but I think the unique element of S1 at least is it covers the outbreak itself and the societal breakdown. Whereas obviously in TWD that all happens while Rick's having sleepy time at the start of Ep1.
