Sums up the "science" they employ.

I've never watched it, but presume it's filling the void that Jerry Springer and Jeremy Kyle used to fill, where people feel better about themselves after watching absolute freakshows mess up their lives for our entertainment

 

Carol is a very trite 'feminist badass' stereotype.

Abused by her husband for the first couple of seasons, is cowed and subserevient, but then has enough and instantly transitions into John Matrix.

People lap up this type of thing.

On the subject of The Last Of Us, season 2 trailer just dropped:

Desperate tripe. 1001 ways to kill a zombie. Spikes in the head, a converted baseball bat-antique mace thing, every variety of gun you can imagine of course. Blood and brains splatter and macho speeches to the camera are made

I stopped watching when one of the heros was in the process of "giving mercy" to a battalion of assorted hillbilly zombies in dungarees armed with only a B&Q value claw hammer.

There have been some pretty good zombie films I've enjoyed, but this is just awful thoughtless violent bilge.

I see there's 5 series of it too. Ave María. What must the people's brains be like who sit and watch that?

Just watch it and then rinse your eyes out with soapy water. I enjoyed it in patches, but it's almost CBBC

 

What’s the consensus on Gangs of London. After a couple of episodes I can’t decide if it’s action-packed exciting gritty drama or embarrassingly dreadful cliche stuff with a sickening level of violence. I’m leaning towards the latter.

I watched 5 minutes of an episode and reached a similar point to you. It was fun for 5 minutes, but if it continued at that pace for several episodes, they'd have a whole borough dead.

Watched the first episode this week. Found it reasonably entertaining and funnier than I expected, though I might have just been in a silly mood, because i was laughing out loud at some very mediocre gags.

Oh, Mrs Moog has been watching that. I've looked up or glanced at the TV from time to time and it appears to be about 20 different shows in one.

Mayor of Kingstown - 8/10

 

I’ve watched three of these and it seems to have morphed into a Cambridge set version of Death in Paradise.

 

I've never watched DIP, though my mate is one of the writers.
