Found it and ordered. Am I the only one on here with class and good taste?

You've got a classic case of Luton Relegation Derangement Syndrome. Please call 111 immediately for help.

I saw someone wearing it yesterday before the game. Genuinely stopped me in my tracks that not only someone wore it, but parted with nearly £50 for the label of “do not allow me out in public”

This has always been my favourite Watford kit.

Ahhh, the 'Rasta' kit.... I've never got why this wasn't, at least, a third kit (when we *had* to have one of those).

I made up a graphic to show my favourite shirts/kits over time.. cause i'm a kit nerd :) Did it a while back so i'd possibly go for the home shirt just gone for the 2020's and quite possibly the black away as the all time away shirt.. or maybe a tie with the mid 70's red double stripe classic.

I’m quite happy with red and black trim around collars, cuffs etc., but I’m not at home to extraneous stripes, splashes, swirls, whatever. I still refuse the concept of an ‘away strip’; it should be a change strip for use when there is a colour clash. I was pleased that we used our ‘away strips’ sparingly this season.

For me it's the stripes, splashes and swirls that make a kit. If you're changing design every season at least make something different than the last one and something that doesn't resemble a plain yellow t-shirt (we've had a few of those)
"away strip" is just a term.. because in only a very few number of cases you change strip when playing away. Not sure of the current EFL rules but i believe the Premier League limit the number of times you can use a change strip per season, or at least they used to. I'm guessing the FL have the same.

Interesting that there are rules about the number of times you can wear a change kit in a season; I wasn’t aware of that. For me, you should be proud of your colours and, in our case, only change if you’re away to Oxford, Hull etc., not to try and tempt people to buy an extra replica shirt.

Difficult to find exact info but the Premier League used to limit the number of times clubs could wear a changed kit to eight times a season.. though that rule seems to have now been dropped. I couldn't find any such ruling for the Football league. I did find some talk on a forum that some kit suppliers write it into their contracts that clubs have to use changed strips a minimum number of times a season so it's not just a case of the clubs cashing in if that's true.

While reading up on changed kits i fond this oddity.. it's now permitted to wear your changed strip at home if the kit colours are deemed to be a problem for people with colour blindness. Well i never! https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...away-kits-at-home-to-help-colour-blind-people
