Me too, isn't the weather supposed to be a bit crap on Saturday?

No joy for me. And I'm not ashamed to say I feel absolutely gutted to have missed out. Fingers crossed I get positive news about the Rotherham game.

Look on the bright side, at least for the first one you won't be with people who said they couldn't be bothered to go a few pages ago yet applied anyway.

Better to be at the later ones when the real fans have been reached on the list.

If you do, they won't let you in.

I don’t want to tempt fate but I just followed the email instructions re buying the ticket and downloading onto the app and it all seemed to go pretty smoothly. Slightly more excited about it now I’ve seen my seat - in the middle of the Rookery and under cover, thank god - discovered the hard way this morning while walking the dogs that my coat is no longer waterproof.

Any views on whether the car park at the school is likely to be open, or how to find out?

  7. No joy for me - do we losers have a better chance for Rotherham or does everyone go back in the hat?

I only applied for the Cardiff game so that’s one less name in the hat.

Saturday will be a historic event in many ways. 9 months of not going to do what many of us have done for most weekends over the past however many years is a drastic change in routine for many.

I've missed out this time. Dodged a bullet if it's anything like last night.

I missed out on Cardiff, but the information said they will do what they can to ensure everyone who applies gets at least 1 game, so I assume those who were successful for Cardiff are not in the hat for Rotherham.

I have a seat in The Rookery, just hoping I will be able to use it, and not have to stand for the whole game.

I've bought my ticket but I don't seem to be able to see the ticket in the app. Anyone else having this issue?

I’ve been lucky, I’ve not been selected for Saturday. Seriously though I’m a bit gutted as I think these players need a crowd to get them going. I think it will make a difference when the fans start having a go at players who give the ball away repeatedly. This season is so poor so far.

Those who applied and were unsuccessful today will be entered into a second ballot tomorrow for any remaining tickets that weren’t taken up.

Got my ticket, middle of Rookery, will be sat on my own, which will be a bit weird. The other half is so keen to get rid of me for an afternoon for once that she has offered to drive me there. Will be the first game I have never blocked the view of someone around me at least!

Do not blame you for being gutted. I am also gutted as currently I cannot even apply for tickets as my town went from tier 1 to tier 3 either side of lockdown.

These last 9 months have been a drag and the longest I have not been to a Watford match in over 20 years. Just hope we get moved to a lower tier sooner rather than later so I get the chance to visit the Vic again.

Make the most of it everyone. You never know when we might move to Tier 3 again (Christmas).

I am sure the first bit of trouble somewhere and the Government will call it off.

Already got managers complaining it's unfair too.

Just as well Liverpool are Tier 2 otherwise Klopp would be ranting about that too..

Well Wales has it's own rules Mr Harris - blame the Government there.

You cannot even go to the pub I believe!

Why don't the they leave the league and join the Welsh league, the rules will be the same for all teams then.

Although, when you read the article, it turns out he says both that it’s not fair and that he thinks fans being at the stadium will spur his players on as it will be more like a proper away match. So covering all bases?

If they play well and we don’t won’t be much of an atmosphere anyway.

They can. They just can't have alcohol at any point and have to be out by 6pm. Bizarre guideline, even by Covid standards.

Those going to the game, I wouldn't go on the shoutbox at the same time....if I've learnt anything it's that the radio is the only place to catch it live, followed by the shoutbox and then the game itself if Hive Live is accurate. Good luck watching a game that's 60 secs behind reality....

    ;)

  30. In the Vic road end for the first time since they switched the home end! For once I hope they change ends at the start!

I thought they might use the Rookery - more room to spread people around but guess access isn't so great?

I'm in the Rookery tomorrow, my last match in there was the last league game in 98/99 season when Kennedy's goal was enough to see of Grimsby and guarantee us a play off spot.

I saw the first leg of the semi in the Lower GT (then Rous) and I've had a season ticket in the LGT since the beginning of the 1999/2000 season.
