Another enemy has been defeated. There have been no deaths from Covid on the island for several weeks, almost 90% of the population is fully vaccinated (thanks to Cuba's amazing home-developed vaccines), and after two years, the law about wearing face masks in the street has finally been withdrawn!

    Smiles to the wind Cubanos!

Death rate is similar to UK, despite having a proportionately younger population. A reported 1.1 million cases and 8,500 deaths. So a death rate of 0.77%. UK is 0.80%, with an older age profile.

Using WHO numbers, Liberia 7,500 cases 125 deaths = 1.6%. Haiti 2.7%. Barbados = 0.6%. Iceland =0.08% and half the population caught it there 188,000 reported cases.

Nepal one of the poorest countries in the world, reported 979,149 cases and total deaths of 11,952 = 1.2%. By comparison USA death rate at 1.2%, Russia 2%.

Anything below 0.5% is very good anything above 1% poor.
