Thought the Liverpool goal was offside and Forest should have had a penalty. Was clearly a trip for the pen.

VAR looks like it got the goal right after a different angle was shown .

Definitely seen those penalties given though .

Was it a clear and obvious error ?

The ITV studio set up is weird. Robbie Fowler looks like he’s hosting a quiz show.

It was a trip. Not aure it matters if it was a small trip on which leg was tripped. Penalty all day long.

The offside - they showed that the line from the shoulder of the defender was playing the FEET of Jota onside, however that's all they showed! Jota was also leaning forward and for me his shoulder was further forward than the defender but it wasn't shown - he had no line drawn down.

The sycophantic tirade coming from ITV toward Liverpool was sickeningly nauseous.

True . Not many have done both . Even less fans alive can say that they have seen both .

It was a programme designed to appeal to Liverpool supporters. It’s like complaining that the coverage of the World Snooker Championship has too many balls in it.

With Roy Keane there to add a bit of balance as an ex Man U and Forest player .

I only saw the last 10 mins but I assume you mean the Allison one on Yates? If so I couldn’t disagree more. Massive dive, where the attacker trailed his back leg along the ground to initiate contact with the keeper’s outstretched hand and rightly not given.

Yep, never a penalty, not surprised VAR didn't intervene, was "clear and obvious" that the onfield decision was correct!
Did find it quite amusing that he dragged the foot to play for the penalty but obviously hadn't really practised what came next as he went down somewhat in instalments.

I suppose people will go down the “a big club would have got it” narrative …

Yeah it was never a pen, love how one of the pundits (can’t remember which one) said he showed inexperience, and should’ve deliberately run in to the keeper though.

One of the bidders for Chelski said on Times Radio this morning "all the important people know who we are,the government Bruce Buck ".
    No mention of the fans!
Freudian slip of all Freudian slips.

I don’t think is was. I would say that the fans are pretty far down the list of importance for owners. Especially the super-rich ones. The fans are just an asset to help owners build the brand. Like ours did recently with the Junior Hornets away day.

Just let all the Southern based fans have the tickets - be loads of them anyway.

It is a bit daft but been the same for years and the game won't move as the FA want to make money and have a contract to adhere to.

Play the semi final on Tuesday night - most of the fans go by road anyway.

I agree but apparently the FA were told of the rail closure issue a year ago. They really should have had a Plan B in place.

Speaking as an old traditionalist, the semi-finals should never be at Wembley in my view. It’s just something else which over the years has taken more gloss off the Cup Final.

When did they move the semis to Wembley? Was it always at the ground of one of the clubs before?

Was a neutral venue suitable for the 2 teams. So when we played Man Utd it was at Villa park. Liverpool and Man City would never have been White Hart Lane or another London Stadium.

I remember semis at old Wembley as well. Gazza free kick v Arsenal. Sheffield Derby as well. Luton losing to Chelsea.

This was because they were originally big derby games and the high demand for tickets swung it. More recently it was justified as an extra use for the expensive new Wembley.

3.30 kick off for Man City v Liverpool on the Saturday.

Presume the TV blackout doesn’t matter in this case then ?

Can catch up with it after the Brentford game .

FA have very generously given 100 free buses to get all the fans down to Wembley. Hilarious.

The clubs should take a stand and refuse to play unless it’s moved. Get back some of the goodwill they lost during the superleague debacle. Force the FA’s hand. Book Old Trafford themselves and play anyway. If they are booted out of the cup, they can give the ticket money to a Ukraine charity. After all, the fans are the main concern of the clubs right?

    LOL, who am I kidding?

The Athletic reckon one reason the FA went for a 3.30 kick off was to ‘enable Man City fans to watch their women’s side on TV in their own FA Cup semi-final which kicks off at 12.15’.

Honestly, who at the FA comes up with this nonsense?

Of course typical of the FA to arrange both games on the same day then !

Presume they are talking about armchair fans ..

Not those who will be travelling at 12.15?
