As I say have a clause that if he speaks to another club before the last 6 months of his contract he owes us. £30 Million or his life

Richarlison just subbed and sulked coming off the pitch. Threw his arms up and was not happy. So it begins.

Wow... Snakey slithers off and suddenly they hit some form. Big Dunc is quite the motivator it seems.

Sure "Big Duncan " will sort him out!

The Everton fans will demand Ferguson gets the job now .

Nobody loves Big Dunc more than me, but only a lunatic would be calling for him to get the job at the moment. He doesn't even want it himself.

Ofcourse - was more of a throw away comment!

Mind you probably depends on who the permanent is.

Was David Unsworth not around to take over again?

He was/is, but last time he was asked to step in he had no real discernable effect on the team. We were just as poor as we were under Koeman.

Dunc should hopefully just be a game, two or three at the most.

Odd one about Silva - everyone seems to suggest that he was very popular amongst the players, but the levels of effort yesterday were noticeably higher under Dunc, so I guess you draw your own conclusions from that.

I really don't want it to reach the point where Dunc has a bad run of results and people turn against him. That man is my hero, I couldn't cope with that. The top table at my wedding was even called the Duncan Ferguson Table (at the police club in Bushey, for those of you familiar with it).

Would appear we only have two candidates - we will try to convince Ancelotti (hold the giggles please), and if that doesn't work out we will be giving it to Moyes

I do like Ancellotti, he might come back to the Premier League but I think he'll be looking for a club with a chance of Champions League football next season.

The Atletico Madrid job might become available in the summer - I think Simeone has taken them as far as he can, or a return to Bayern Munich which is less likely.

I think he'll take the rest of the season off and see what happens in the close season.

As for Moyes, might be good for you to stop the rot til the end on the season but not long term.

Just cycle through players from the early noughties and ride the wave of feel good nostalgia and fist pumping. You could have a different one each week, guaranteed wins.

Lee Carsley next week, Alan Stubbs the week after that. Joe Max Moore. Li Tie. Alex Nyarko. Nick Chadwick. Idan Tal. Alessandro Pistone.

Well... I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised by Everton here. Doesn't happen often.

There's an argument to say that Ancelotti isn't really the sort of manager we need, given our situation.

Having said that, you don't turn down a date with Rita Ora because you're worried she might not end up being wife material.

I have to say, your game yesterday against the @rse was one of the most boring I've ever seen. No disrespect to Everton, I thought you had the better of it,
but was it really your intention to bore the new Arsenal manager to sleep? Or even your new appointment?

Can't argue with that, it was an abysmal game between two poor teams.

Both Arteta and Ancelotti up in the stands would be forgiven for having 2nd thoughts about their choices based on what we saw yesterday.

Given his success, and her relatively average looks, I really feel as though comparing Ancelotti to Rita Ora is doing him a bit of a disservice

We have also managed to lower our net debt to £9.2m (all instalments of payments we owe in transfers)

Somehow we have managed to get Moshiri and Usmanov's holding company to give us £30m for the privilege of having first rights on a naming deal for the new stadium (which hasn't actually had planning permission yet), which is a bit of a blatant FFP fudge

Can't fault the money they're throwing at it, but it would be nice to see that turn into some tangible progress on the pitch
