Ugo Ehiogu looks to be closing on a move away from Middlesbrough. The 34-year-old is way down the pecking order at The Riverside, having just returned from a loan spell at Leeds United. Leeds are believed to be one of the club keen on securing a permanent move for him, as are Premiership strugglers Watford. However, Scottish giants Rangers are keen to secure a deal for the former England international. "Nothing will happen with Ugo before the weekend," his agent Steve Kutner confirmed. "A Premiership club and a Championship side have been in touch and we are also aware of Rangers' interest. "Rangers would certainly be appealing as they are a massive club and Walter Smith has an excellent standing in the game. "Ugo has spoken to his manager, Gareth Southgate, about the situation and he has told him that the first team door is not closed. "But he has said to Ugo that if there is something else out there he feels will benefit him more at this stage of his career, he won't stand in his way."
Ugo, no thanks. He's past it now, and he is slow. Saw him play for Leeds on TV had he really isn't up to it. Best toddle off to the SPL where it's more his standard.
