https://www.tuttoudinese.it/calciom...trebbe-sbarcare-al-watford-via-udinese-168710 Udinese could be signing Emil Audero (a goalkeeper) from Como and then loaning him out to Watford. Or they could keep Audero and send their new GK signing Egil Selvik to us instead.
Selvig sounds like a product from IKEA, given Bachmann is as mobile as a Billy bookcase, I'm all for it.
Aren’t we now at 4 loans from Udinese for the season? Abankwah, Tikvic, Bayo and Ebosele. Not sure if it’s 4 at any one time, or 4 total for the season though.
All the articles I can find on loan say ‘4 on loan from 1 club in a season’ so that would suggest the opposite - that sending any back won’t make a difference and we’ve hit our season limit. Would be objectively funny if we now can’t loan players of first team level because we have brought in Antonio Tikvic.
I know Roma showed interest last week because Ryan wants to leave but there's an issue with an injury. He Audero was very highly rated in Italy st one stage but I can't honestly remember seeing him play. But from what I remember he was a very good keeper. God knows what has happened to him.
Couldn't they make it a free transfer instead of a loan? Especially the Norwegian who was free anyway.
Why don't we just pay Udinese £5m for one of these keepers? Just add it to the tab that we seem to have with them.
Technically they could - in reality is would depend on how the move was sold initially, especially to the Norwegian. If he was told during negotiations that he could be shipped to us, all well and fine. But if he wasn’t, not sure how happy he’d be!
Re the loans, yes we have our limit from Udinese but of course we could conveniently make one into a permanent or equally send Tikvic back (as we have Ak now) or send Ebosele back (as he seems out of favour). I’ve seen nothing from Bond in the last two games though to suggest I’d be unhappy with him continuing in goal, unless he’s injured of course.
You'd imagine it would of popped up in said conversations. Plus he'd be a little nieve if he couldn't see the movement between the clubs in the past.
That’s fine - but have you found anything that says you can have more than 4 players on loan from one club, but just 4 at any one time? We can discuss forever and a day about who could be sent back if we know that’s the rule - but all the articles I have read suggest it’s 4 from 1 club in a season in totality. In which case, we could send all 4 back - it won’t mean we can bring in any others from the same club. Turning one permanent wouldn’t make a difference either obviously. As other are saying, if we want any more Udinese players, it seems to me that we would have to transfer them permanently.
Maybe we could do one of those nondescript 'has agreed a move' deals where it's never made clear and the player goes back in the summer. Technically a permanent but with no intention of it being that. Matheus Martins-ish.
Oh yes, on closely reading the EFL handbook, you’re right! How ironic if the dodgy Bayo deal has scuppered our chances of bringing in another Udinese player. What’s the expression? Hoisted by our own petard, or something! I’m sure we’d just make the next Udi signing a permanent one, only to then most likely un-permanent it again in summer.
So we can only free up an incoming Udinese loan by making a current one permanent then. Otherwise, no more loans from them. Can’t see Ebosele agreeing to stay permanently. Bayo would take some mental bookkeeping. Abankwah has literally just signed a new deal (although don’t know how much they’d care about that) Ironically, Tikvic is probably the easiest to do!
Udinese are interested in loaning Gavin Bazunu. One to keep an eye on as it could actually be us if Selvik doesn’t fancy the move. https://m.independent.ie/sport/socc...eland-goalkeeper-gavin-bazunu/a348991960.html
Bazunu can only come here if they sign him outright and then loan him to us, they can’t loan him and then loan him to us
More on about us loaning him instead of Udinese. Nani overseas both of us so goalposts can easily change dependent on Selvik.
