Said it before, clubs will find it hard to achieve premier league status in the future the financial gap is obscene. We should be grateful we are in that bubble of clubs who have achieved these dizzy heights as these clubs are all treading on water yo yoing between the top two tiers. We have the Pozzo’s to thank for that.
Yes we will see the odd lucky Brentford type club who have that peak inside the bubble but I believe these clubs will be seen less and less. These yo yo clubs one or two of them will have great seasons and finish well up the table but staying there will be very difficult as those mega rich clubs will acquire these clubs coaches and players and the circle continues.
Ie Brighton look like their having the limelight now but how long before potter gets snapped up by an Everton/villa/Leicester ? And these teams acquiring the services of the lower echelons better coaches players aren’t even the top clubs.
As for Pozzo his model is working for us in trying to keep us in that bubble with the hope of having one of two seasons competing in the top half or a cup run.
Yes a plan told by him in an interview would be great but what’s he going to say we don’t know ?

I believe club is worth way more than 20 m.

He paid approx 10m for the club 9 years ago as a bankrupt championship club .

Sarr alone is worth 40m , rest of squad and real estate of the ground ( not London Conley as that is rented ) prob total 100m and that’s just asset stripping , as an entity and potential business expansion to a bigger club the value is more like 150m .

Which is why rumours came out 2 years ago of a US investor wanting to buy a share and I believe the club had been valued at approx 200m but the due diligence fell through .
  3. It’s worth way more than 20m as a prem club but not in the champ. You’ve listed all the assets but not liabilities. Any business is worth the net present value of its expected future cashflows. Plus a bit of a novelty premium as an English prem league club which are in short supply. Once we are back in the champ and have sold Sarr to cover some of our debt we will once again be worth not a lot….a little more than under the helmet.

A debt free Burnley were worth £170m I believe, so we won’t be worth anywhere near as much as that as a PL club given our current situation, and then as you say a lot less if/when relegated.
