Norway Hornet was home alone watching TV. He was desperately trying to get through the Hollyoaks Ombibus, as he was pretty sure that his time was running short. He helped himself to some more popcorn as his eyes remained glued to the screen. He had the volume so loud that he never heard the sound of the front door being pushed gently open.

The wolf crept up behind him. He watched the TV over Norway’s shoulder for a little while. The wolf too had fallen behind on the show. Norway chuckled slightly, and the wolf came back to his senses. He primed himself, before reaching forward and placing his paws on either side of Norway’s head. ‘Uh oh,’ whimpered Norway briefly, before the wolf heaved upwards. Norway’s head separated from his neck, and the wolf laughed. He placed the head back on the floor in front of the TV, ‘Keep watching Norway,’ he laughed, ‘this is a good one!’

    NORWAY HORNET was VERY GOOD.

Steve Leo Beleck was on his way to the inn to meet the other villagers. He was looking forward to supping on a nice pint. He turned left up the street towards the inn. As he passed an alley, he heard a whimper. He stopped, and peered into the semi-darkness. ‘Hello? Anyone there?’ he asked. No-one replied. Steve knew the sensible thing to do would be to walk on, but for some reason he wanted to see what was in the alley. He turned on his phone torch and taking a breath strode forwards. He can gone a couple of steps when his foot found a puddle. ‘That’s odd,’ he though to himself, it hasn’t rained for a few days. He reached down and touched the water, raising it too his light. His fingers glistened with blood.

Steve swallowed nervously. He felt a drip on top of his head and looked up. He saw the wolves open jaws, a moment before it feel on him. He screamed in agony as the wolf tore into him. The wolf took one big bite into Steve’s neck and felt the bone crunch. Steve was dead.

    STEVE LEO BELECK was GOOD.

Hornetgags, Powerjugs, BigRossLittleRoss and Otter all sat in the bar quietly. On one side of the table sat Gags, Jugs and Ross. Otter sat on the other side, a smug look on his face. ‘Might be time to start begging chaps,’ he smiled. ‘My furry friends may be inclined to forgive you.’ He laughed, ‘Hahahaha, what am I saying? They are going to make you hurt!’ he said in a sinister manner. Gags raised his eye brows, ‘Well they’re not here yet are they? What do you say guys, why don’t we have a little fun of our own.’ Jugs and Ross rose to their feet. Otter gulped. ‘Grab him boys,’ shouted Gags and Ross and Jugs leapt across the table pinning Otter to the ground. Gags slowly rose, draining his pint as he did so.

He walked around to the far side of the table where Jugs and Ross had pinioned Otter to the ground. Gags withdrew a pen knife from his pocket and knelt above Otter’s head. ‘I think a nice little tattoo to show your allegiance is appropriate, don’t you?’ he chuckled. Otter writhed in agony, as Gags carved the word TRAITOR in Otter’s forehead. ‘Now it’s my turn,’ muttered Jugs taking the knife from Gags. As he went to cut off Otter’s nose. The door into the pub then burst open.

In walked Mike, followed by a limping Meh. ‘Good evening folks, what have we here?’ questioned Mike. Ross quickly knocked Otter unconscious by slamming his head into the floor before he rose to his feet, standing between Gags and Jugs. ‘You filthy vermin,’ said Ross in a quavering voice that betrayed his nerves.

‘You…..are…..the…..only…….vermin……here!’ gasped Meh. He was bleeding heavily from a wound in his leg. Beside him Mike yowled. Dark hair began to sprout all over his skin. He grew a few feet too, and within seconds a giant wolf stood in the bar. Meh then yowled, and transformed in a slightly smaller wolf. The large wolf leapt across the bar, followed by the injured small wolf. The alpha slammed into Ross and Gags. They both slammed backwards into the bar. There was a loud crunch as Ross’s back snapped on the bar. He slumped to the ground, unable to move whilst the wolf sang its teeth into his belly. Gags had been stunned, and as he came to saw his friend being mauled by the alpha. His hand reached towards a broken bottle on the ground and his grip closed around the neck of the bottle.

He stabbed sideways into the alphas neck. The wolf screamed in agony, and rolled away from the now long side dead form of Ross. The broken bottle protruded from the wolfs neck, and as it reached up to pull the bottle loose there was a spray of blood from the wound.

    BIGROSSLITTLEROSS was GOOD.

On the opposite side of the bar, the fight between Jugs and the smaller wolf had been a much fairer fight. As the wolf had leapt across the table, Jugs had dived to the side. The wolf had crashed into the next table. Jugs had quickly climbed to his feet and grabbed a broken chair leg. He slammed it down repeatedly on the wolves head. The animal screamed in pain, as Jugs began to cave its skull in. Just when the wolf thought its time was up, the blows to the head stopped. It couldn’t see through the blood that clouded its vision, but Otter had risen to his feet and rammed his blade straight through Jugs back. The tip of the sword protruded from Jug’s chest. Jugs gasped. Otter pulled the sword out and kicked Jugs forward. His body hit the floor with a thump.

    POWERJUGS was GOOD.

Otter walked over to the smaller wolf and helped him up. The wolf had barely survived Jugs assault, and swayed on the spot. Its head a mess of matted hair and blood. On the opposite side of the bar, the alpha wolf rose to its feet. It stood opposite Gags, who knew his time was up. The wolf charged forwards lifting gags off his feet before slamming him into the fireplace. Gags writhed as the flames licked around his body, but soon he succumbed to the smoke and flames.

    HORNETGAGS was GOOD.

The two wolves and the traitor stood in the pub. The wolves slowly transformed into their human forms. Otter tended their wounds, and afterwards wrapped a cloth around his head. Victory was theirs and they drank long into the night. The village was quiet, at least for another 6 months.

EVIL WINS. CONGRATULATIONS TO MIKED, MEH and OTTER.

Well done team evil. The two night kills left a 3 on 3 bar fight. Hope everyone had fun, I certainly did.

Thanks Harrow for running the game and to Opti for the write ups.

Well played Otter . Team Evil had all the lucky breaks though .

I have a lot to learn about this game.

Thx to Opti and Harrow .

    Whens the next game ?

Harrow can you list everyone's role and give the day 5 players access to the cemetery? Thanks

Wouldn't worry about the cemetery, we were so worried you lot could see it we didn't say much. Great game, probably one of the best I've seen. I had no idea whatsoever and must have called out definite 3 evils along the way, all wrong. It's just so easy to overlook what people are writing when all the clues are right in front of your eyes.

Don't wait too long for the next game, there's jack all else to do close season.

We weren't helped by the fact that PO didn't really post and in the day we were discussing lynching him, he disappeared completely.

Would be great to have another game , although I'm too rookie to host I'm happy to do the write ups but only if Opti wanted a break .

So frustrating that today was the day I just didn't have time to read the morning posts. It seemed so obvious that Norway was telling the truth about being the back up seer but by the time that I'd read the posts, PO was only two votes away from being lynched. Then I put a plea in to hold off but Powerjugs and BRLR voted before seeing it.

I had suspected MikeD as a wolf from the second day - there was a comment on the first day about the poem being from an inexperienced player that didn't ring true, then Diamond was killed for no real reason and from the only time I'd played previously, I knew MikeD respected Diamond as a good player. There was another time when MikeD said something like "Everyone needs to read this" about something I wrote (confirming PJ and Opti as good I think) and that seemed to me to be a coded message to the other wolf to help them decide on their kill. I only knew for definite today though when he piled in on PO and it seemed like a co-ordinated effort to get the votes stacked early. I didn't want to put my head above the parapet without being certain as I thought Mike would take me out. I had no idea about Meh! until today when I became convinced that Norway was being honest. I was going to suggest lynching Meh and targeting Mike the following day.

Had no idea about Otter full stop. Was convinced WAS was the traitor as every time we worked something out, he'd write something along the lines of "you never know in Werewolf...". When he was revealed as good, I was completely bamboozled!

Like everyone else, I knew PJ and Opti were good and was certain that BRLR and Squibba were too. Everyone else, wasn't sure about.

No masons. I felt PowerJugs' role was a good substitute. Masons added onto it would be too uneven.

The game turned when Dom viewed the tinker IMO. So unlucky. At one point Mike actually thought Meh was the seer. Thought he would eat him overnight.

Evil were great though. Meh had a shaky start aftet trying to kill PJ twice but hid his role well. Mike was just a clever, cunning son of a bitch. Otter played the traitor role the best I have seen anyone play it. I still couldnt believe people thought Norway was lying about the seer. Most seers would do the same as it was the only chance villagers had in winning!

Had loads of predictions from desd players as to who the evil players were. Nobody got it right until the very last hours.

I made up you confirmed it , as part of a desperate last attempt to make them believe I was the martyr pretending not to be the martyr , in the hope that they may avoid killing me and mistakenly killing the real Martyr.....which there wasn't one.

For me the danger of being the traitor was to either be eaten or accidentally outed by an alpha's message; this is why in post #34 on Day 1 I let Miked know I was the traitor. As for Meh, who didn't post enough I did get a message in on Day 4, Miked liked it so I knew the message was loud and clear by so did PowerJugs so I had to edit it. Today I knew that if we could lynch a good player that evil would win, I knew the first message was definitely the wolf and I was hoping the seer would try to view any good player but named Meh; so in order to prevent any overt protection of Meh I simply said he was 50:50 whereas PO was 75% chance evil and hope two good players would follow as Miked and Meh were always going to vote PO. Before midday I knew BRLR was talking about voting PO so I took a risk and voted early for PO and then immediately accusing Norway of influencing the vote (with an apology) and it worked a treat.

Once over the line, I knew that the only way to guarantee victory for evil was to then out myself and direct the wolves but I thought that Meh doubted me (either that or was winding me up).

Interesting to note that there were no masons, and surprisingly no witness.

Damn, I was completely off as to who was what.

I thought NorwayHornet, BigRossLittleRoss and Hornetsgags were Evil!

I did more harm than good. Heh. "Good."

I wanted to keep my role secret for as long as I could, but as I was attacked on Day 1 that went to pot very quickly. The plan my end was to find out as many people I could as to who was Good early on and to try and figure out who was what, but SOMEONE (Wolfy *******) targeted me early on!

I suspected and named Mike on day 2 and again on day 3, because he was trying to direct the voting to non active players, but was only dipping in and out himself. On day 2 i voted for him and he sneekely voted for me rather than having to make a vote and be picked up

He was one of 4 that never voted for Daft Row when we thought he was evil, so I named him again on day 4 and left a hint on day 5, knowing i might be eaten, to look back.

Sorry Norway, they way you were trying to change peoples voting i thought you were the traitor

My favourite post of the game:

    Day 4

That particular phase of the game was the best for me as I knew one would have to be the tinker.

Daft Row has the right to feel as smug as anything.

Good got the worst rub of the green when it mattered (Tinker debacle, Seer and Guardian, Prats like me!) with Evil timing their moves perfectly.

That was such a bad luck day when the wolf called me evil and then the seer picked dR as a tinker.

    Truly bad luck

Before that it was a standard game. After that bad luck it was only going one way. Especially as two good kills followed.

It's a fair balance overall in terms of good versus evil
    Wins.

Did we have two new roles this game as well.
    Added to confusion I think.

For my part I should have stayed calm. Never plays well not to do so

I picked up on that and used it to my advantage, I knew I struck gold when he said he was the back up seer to boot because all he achieved by that was to make him look even more traitorous!

For a long time WaS was doing exactly that. Watching from afar I could have sworn he was a wolf, I also had Norway tagged as the traitor as he seemed to be misleading everyone at times.

    Difficult not to CTH.

Makes you think how horrific the Salem witch trials would have been. Basically this scenario being played out for real, but with no witch just everybody accusing everybody and the more you denied it the more likely you were deemed to be possessed by the devil .
