A wolf moved purposely across the village. They understood the new responsibility of their role, but felt buoyed by the timely arrival of the bright full moon. They arrived at Santiago’s house and looked at the bolted and barricaded front door. “Clever”, said the wolf, “I’ll have to find another way.” They clambered over the gate to try the back door. As they landed and stood up straight, there was a large figure standing in front of them. “Ah!” Shrieked the wolf, and fell over backwards. In their panic, they scrambled to their feet to turn and run. “Oh it’s YOU”. “I didn’t know it was you”. “Well now you do.” The two wolves nodded, and advanced together. There would only be one kill tonight, they thought, but at least they could work together from now on. They walked around the back of the house, and the door was ajar. “Aha!” A sword swung out of the darkness and the new alpha just ducked in time, although trimmed fur flew into the air. “BEGONE VERMIN”. “AHH!” The wolves sprinted away, angry and hungry. When they were sure no one was tailing them, they regrouped and said angrily: “Tomorrow, brother”, “Tomorrow”, then went home, hungry.
