Did a wild acrobatic save from a close up bang of a shot and landed in a not-ideal fashion (evidently).

Ah, thanks for that. Wondered how he did it.

    Not the Cruyff turn?

That 2nd Blades' goal was due to some woeful positioning and reading of the gameplay...

Ankle ligaments maybe if nothing broken or torn?

Sprained ligaments (i.e. stretched) - 4 weeks. Torn ankle ligaments = 6-12 months

I really don't get the hate for Bachmann on here???

I know he makes mistakes, but IMO, the great saves he makes, more than make up for his errors!!!

Overall I think we would be losing a lot more games, if it were not for the many good saves he pulls off!!!

Nothing would be more Bachmann than after all that at the end of the game, his injury being no more than a twisted ankle.

The only two people with worse stats when dealing with crosses are Dracula and Jesus Christ.

Bachmann, starring Daniel Bachmann as "Bachmann" with his trusty sidekick Ryan played by everyones favourite angry Scotsman Ryan Porteous.

Moussa Sissoko plays faithful butler Alfred, Commisioner Cleverly played by TC, Aunt Harriet is played by Gino Pozzo.

Watch as Bachmann and Ryan battle enemies such the Joker played by Jebbison, the Riddler played by Bayo and Jeremy Ngakia guest stars as the Penguin.

Doesn't sound like it. Could be Myles Roberts is retained though as cover.

  20. Roberts seems to have been doing pretty well at Partick - first choice starter, several clean sheets- but I have no idea of the standard of Scottish Champ.

If Roberts shows he isn't any better than Bond in training this week then we may as well keep him as backup and sell him in the summer. He's 23, has played at lot of football in the last couple of seasons so if he's not better than our average backup keeper now when will he be?

Another season where we have a low-cost, below average, backup GK on the books that we end up having to give a large amount of games to.

    Fantastic.

I’ve said it on another thread but now is the time. A new no.1 please. We used to get Arsenal and Spurs rejects. I’m happy with that. Heurelho Gomes mk2 where are you? Almunia came even before we got promoted first time around under Pozzo.

Doesn’t help the current 3rd choice seems to be injured !

““[Fellow young professional goalkeeper] Alfie Marriott has got a toe issue which needs surgery. Although it’s not ideal, we can put that off for a while, just to see this period through”

It's pretty obvious now that a new GK takes priority over a new striker in the here and now. At least to tie us over till the Summer. Will it happen this Window? Doubt it. Will it happen in the Summer? Probably not.

  31. Burnsy

Is it? I’d say a holding midfielder and striker still come well above a GK at this moment in time.

Come the summer we will have at best 2 strikers in the club!

One of whom the current manager doesn’t rate and the other a 20 year old who hardly has footballing experience.

I've no doubt it hurt but I've torn ligaments and didn't react like Bachmann. It all seemed very dramatic and it sounds like he's avoided major swelling which can be pretty brutal for ligament injuries. His behaviour on the field and his reaction to criticism makes the decision to give him the armband last season even more bizarre.
