Being a massive squad number geek, I was hoping he'd take the no.4 shirt. But if the rumour is true that his knees are f*cked I suppose it doesn't matter as he'll never play for us, anyway.
We can't expect him to be match fit can we. West Ham loaned a player who had only played 3 times all season. He surely couldn't play straight away and score 2 goals!
We can't expect him to be match fit can we. Look at Forest, they took a striker on loan who had hardly played all season. He surely couldn't play straight away and score 2 goals!
Apparently Arter told Gosling not to join Forest as they're an absolute basket case, yet they seem to have got Murray and Garner looking like better players than they ever looked like showing for us...
Vardy and Kane back within days after injury and in the formers case an operation but we cannot get this guy match fit in a week ? Sums up the medical and fitness team !
Unfortunately for Gosling, there were no former Muff players at Watford who could have had a quiet word with him.
Gozzers looked excellent today. Strong tackler, no misplaced passes I can think of and pushed forward. Also it was good to see he is vocal. It is abundantly clear Gozzers and Hughes are our best central midfield pairing. He is precisely what we needed and hopefully this means Chalobah is doomed. An excellent signing and future POTS. BOOKMARK THIS POST.
Was very calm on the ball, happy to put a foot in too. Thought he looked really good. Other than his pass to set Sarr free for the first, thought Chalobah was pretty poor again today. Hughes and Gosling playing from deep with Cleverley running around as much as he can until his legs fall off about 65-70 mins is our best bet.
Good signing he knows why he been bought in tackles gets the ball passes nothing flash lets the attackers do there bit
Lots of credit to Gosling for the performances over the past couple matches. Really showed his quality and has clearly become part of the spirit of the squad - a significant thing for a January transfer from a rival club. Has turned out to be a good, smart signing that most of us (myself included) didn't give enough respect to when it happened.
He has really come good over the last few games, but I'm not sure he will be with us in the Prem as he is similar to Cleverly and I don't think there is room for both of them in our PL squad.
He's more than done his bit and proved some of the doubters wrong, well done Dan! Should be an OK backup next season, although beyond that obviously his value will be decreasing
Apart from anything else, he's good for an occasional goal, which is more than you can say about some of our midfielders (or indeed, strikers)
If you have a minute, Bournemouth have an online vote for their goal of the season, the deadline is tomorrow and you don't need to register or leave details. Vote for Dan! https://www.afcb.co.uk/news/club-news/vote-now-for-your-goal-of-the-season/
