He has no idea. All RBs in the country are theoretically a possibility....
I'd rather we gave Hungbo a go than signed Christie. A 29 year old 'meh' player who doesn't have any outstanding qualities.
An absolute poverty signing. A 5/10 to occasionally 6/10 player in this division
Prefer Tony Christie.
He looks like Bernie Winters in that clip.
Is this the way to Queens Park Rangers ?
Which gives me the opportunity to tell the favourite story of how Bernie Winters was appearing at the Glasgow Empire, his routine being greeted with total silence. After ten minutes, on comes his brother Mike. At which point an audience member pipes up, "Bloody hell, there's two of them".
He wants to play in Amarillo
It's like all our Christies have come at once.
From what I've seen of him, Cyrus is OK. And at 29, he fits the model.
Do we get the Greek half, the Turkish half, or both halves ?
Good replacement for Kiko Famagusta
He’s a bit better than that and perfectly fine at this level.
At risk of pedantry and being a kill'joy', Cyprus is not divided 50/50.
Of course I know. I didn't have the exact land % splits to hand. Apologies if you were confused by my generalisation.
I'll let you off this once, but frankly I expect better from the forum's own Mr Percentage.
Whoscored has him at a fairly respectable 6.86 for Swansea last season.
Thought someone had snapped him up by now but guess not.
If we sign him it will make watching on TV easier as there'll be no shortages of Yellow Rivers.
Yeah, gone to Charleroi. Expect we’ll announce his signing for £10m any day now.
Surely he's a better option than Gaspar.
That’s odd, I was in a taxi on the way to Kyrenia and the driver said there would be a checkpoint in Nicosia before we drove into the Turkish half.
As you can see from a map, it's clearly not half in terms of land mass. Just over 1/3 of the island.
Wiki: "The Republic of Cyprus is only on the southern two-thirds of the island (59.74%). The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is the northern third (34.85%) and rest are Akrotiri and Dhekelia owned by the British."
That’s taxi drivers for you - either exaggerating in their conversations, or if they don’t think your a local, taking you by the longer route.
Doesn't look like we'll be signing Christie (thankfully). He's training with Birmingham City, although Eustace is saying he's just helping out a couple of friends to gain some fitness. I'm sure there will be some type of deal on offer though somewhere along the line.

I don’t think he’d back a bad option, personally. I know that opinion doesn’t seem to be held by many.
Good news. Until we sign someone worse .
Which may be happening...
Is Laird worse? Or have we been linked with someone else?
Edit: nvm, seen your post on the other thread.
I said above I didn’t think Christie would be a bad signing
Like everyone else that’s not joining Notts Forest, he’s off to Hull.
Would’ve taken him here in all honesty.
I guess that means they aren't signing Ngakia then, if that deal was ever on!
A few weeks ago I’d have turned my nose up at this, now I don’t think we will do any better (if we sign anyone in that position at all)
Farce of a window
I guess we'll stick with Ngakia, the guy Hull didn't want. I don't mind Ngakia really but I don't think he's a wing back, however he can move so he's a better option than Gaspar.
