Coronavirus Werewolf Day 1

Two hours remaining and there are 6/18 who have still to contribute, I understand that this is a difficult time for some and I understand that real life comes first; hopefully no one has forgotten.

Sorry. Yeah I had forgotten. Home schooling and wfh combined so been a bit manic.

Will read through and catch up.

 

I'm working from home so had hoped to have more time to check things over but the 4pm cut off is a tight one! I'll have to remind myself to check posts again before then.

Agree that if someone hasn't posted at all then makes sense to vote for them - albeit I'd imagine a big player like a Seer or Wolf would be unlikely to not post especially given both (alphas anyway) have sent messages.

 

Is 4pm the deadline for voting?

 

I did ask last week about the times and no one replied so I assumed that 4pm would be good.

I will adjust to 5pm and see how that goes.

If anyone wants to change it, then please let me know today in the sign-up thread and I will change it.

Very strange second message. The seer needs to tell everyone their pick, as it is the only way to decipher good from evil.

It doesn't really change a lot though. The first day is always a lottery, unless the seer gets ridiculously lucky.

If I die tonight, can villagers please guarantee that the the seer gives everyone their pick from today and tomorrow. That's the only way of logically proving whether people are good or evil.

 

Inclined to agree based on what we have so far, but it tells us little.

Why would a wolf name Horace as good? Random name pulled out? Wolf wouldn't know any more than us about the good or bad of other players, so it's a shot in the dark.

Don't think the second message not naming anyone actually helps us.

 

Sorry @Otter for being slow to join in and for the lack of feedback so far. We do really appreciate you putting the effort in to run this for us.

Makes sense, he obviously didn't post either of the first two messages if he's so happy to quit the game.

Makes it a slightly higher chance we'd be killing a good ordinary villager but at least we'd know we're not killing anyone very good.

 

Well, even if he is very good, he's no use to us as it is, so we can live without him.

 

I'm new obviously but what's the point in the seer not naming someone? Just to force a random lynching because it's the first night? Sounds suspect to me.

 

Yeah I'm obviously ok with that! Seems fair enough.

Guardian, I am going to be a prime wolf target tonight so may be an idea to come to mine for dinner, as long as you stay more than 2m away.

If he's going to get killed by Otter anyway, then we potentially save one good villager.

 

That's several hours eaten up by having to set up an office at home for the next few months! Doesn't seem fair to kill Horace as his message is likely the seer (no reason for a seer not to name someone) so also happy to vote Cthulhu as a no show.

 

As for filling roles in the village, I’m happy to be the local teacher...struggling with all the kids whilst the parents keep the world turning...

 

I’m really not sure about that second message. If that’s the seer then it’s a really bizarre way to play.

At the moment I won’t vote for Horace on the basis of the useless second message. Surely Cthulhu is only a villager if he is ok with being killed?

It seems that he already has 11 votes. Guaranteed to be a villager though. Bit of a wasted day really.

Do we have any absentees or have we all rocked up today?

 

Anyone named in day 1 in a message automatically falls into the firing line, in the absence of anything else. The Seer perhaps thinks it's helpful not to name someone viewed as good and potentially put them in the frame, or a wolf is just throwing out confusion. With just two messages as evidence there's little we can determine absolutely.

 

It appears that the only people who haven't posted here are Daft Row and wfcwarehouse.

edit: @Cassetti's Beard is now the only user to have posted but not voted (excluding Ctulhu).

 

I have PMed the two to have not played yet, I will leave the village open until later to allow time for those players to participate / respond.

 

I'd have thought if the first was the wolf then the seer should've also viewed me as well. If good I'm 100% good. If evil I get lynched and we can determine who sent which message.

 

Agree. Seer, tomorrow please give your picks for both day 1 and day 2.

If you don't, we will assume you are the wolf.
