I hope Cleverley goes scorched earth and says it wasn't his choice, the club have betrayed him and the fans, he was promised support and didn't get it.

Don't give the ownership any veneer of decorum or respect as they deserve none.

Im not saying he wasnt involved. I suspect he pushed for the best striker he could get, and then publicly supported him when he arrived.

I doubt he went into Gino's office and said - I demand Jebbison or I am walking.

Suspect much the same happened with Abankwah.

 

All the yesmen get got eventually. The ones that stood up to them, like King Marco, have their reputations soiled despite being right.

Had deficiencies in the squad that weren't previously addressed yet have mostly over performed in the first half of the season, despite the current **** run.

So we came into this window desperately needing a striker, two in the squad, one **** loanee and an 18yr old youth whose limited previous experience was in Mali, no naturally defensive midfielder which has been obvious for a while, long term injured first choice keeper (I know, hooray) and one left footed left back who is also on loan. So with a week to go we have loaned (unless it is a Tikvic style loan) in a very young centre back to compliment the other 7 centre backs, not only that we have then proceeded to play him at right back ahead of the 3 right backs we already had. On top of that it also now looks like arguably our most effective attacker is also now out for a couple of months.

Off the back of this it would appear that only a Spanish manager nobody has ever heard of is the man to achieve a successful conclusion to the season!

Think what you like of TC but if this happens he will be scrubbing himself raw with carbolic soap for months to get rid of that smell.

 

There will never be ‘a guy’ under Gino. I guess that’s the point.

More fool anyone, myself included, who felt that hiring TC would be some sort of difference maker.

Gino Pozzo stood in front of fans and said he wouldn’t change. This is his policy and that’s that. No wonder he feels emboldened to make the change quite frankly.

Ok I'd assumed that meant poor decisions/wrecking the value of the club rather than setting too high a valuation.

To get that ratio up we're going to need to see more of that hidden warm, cuddly, friendly side. I don't see it happening, but an extra "like" helps you on your way.

 

I imagine he can't do that as it would be linked to compensation but it would be nice to hear the truth

Tomorrow’s (today for those of you living in England) the day we get to say goodbye to Cleverley. Fully expect a defeat, poor line up and tactics yet again. Followed by no changes at HT, then predictable subs around the 60th minute, a slight up tick in performance around the 80th minute once the game has gotten away from us. At FT the fans chanting Cleverley’s name, as he waves goodbye knowing his desk was already cleared out by Pacheta whilst at the game. Glorious!
